It has been a while since I have been caught in What Katie Did Stockings – and I am super happy to have them in my life again.

This pair was gifted by one of my favourite friends – they such great style themselves, and I wanted to do these stockings some justice as a thank you to them for gifting!

Let’s go modern vintage. I haven’t worn this dress in a long time, and I thought it would be a perfect fit for these stockings. I paired them up with my caramel low heel court shoes.

The Review

From The Website: We’ve added a darker coffee foot, seam and welt to these natural stockings to ensure that the seam really stands out. After all, if you are going to go to the trouble of wearing glamorous seamed stockings, you want the seams to show! Team with any vintage inspired outfit for a 1940s and 1950s daytime look.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: these were super easy to glide on once I got the seam straight at the back. I had to line up at the soles, and then take care going over my anklets. Once I got past that stage, I did a quick roll up the legs, keeping the seams as straight as possible before setting in place.

I was wearing a 8 clasp suspender belt with this pair.

On The Legs: so I took these images in different parts of my room to show you how the colour changes a little. Obviously it stays nutmeg, however I found that in lower lighting and sunlight it can vary – it’s certainly not a bad thing but something I wanted you all to see.

I got to say I LOVE THIS COLOUR! This gives me proper vintage vibes, and it adds such a lovely colour on the legs. This is one that can work all year round; especially if you’re after a tanned leg look. With the darker brown sole and seams, this is such a great piece.

The quality of these are amazing; they don’t damage easily if you take care whilst you’re in them and they can last you well. I didn’t end up with any snags or rips after I was done for the day.

The fit of these were great; as a duo size, this gave me enough elasticity in the legs to sit them as low or high as I wanted to. They hugged the legs really well; there was plenty of stretch and there was no gapping to be found either.

The feel of them are lovely. They are soft, both inside and out so it doesn’t irritate the skin. They are also super smooth, so you find your legs gliding off one another at times.

The Toes & Ankle: this is where I need to be chatting about the gorgeous sole and backseam. I gotta say this is what makes these stockings great. You have this lovely thick sole piece with the reinforced toe, leading upto a nice bold backseam. I mean… you can’t not love this!

So the toes were reinforced as you can see below. I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to move, and no pressure was added around this area. As a duo size, I had lots of material and room for my toes.

The feet and ankles did not end up with any wrinkles once the day was done. As these stockings have elastane in them, they are made to fit well without wrinkles occurring.

The Bands: and then the finish! These bands are brilliant. I am working with a stretchy, thick, bold band that holds up very well with ease. These fit my thighs so well and stretched out well, that there was no muffin top above it!

My Thoughts?

I would recommend happily!!! These are such a great pair, and perfect for those who want to wear vintage style stockings without the wrinkles. I personally prefer wrinkles, however I know not all do. The colour is fantastic, the fit is great and I love them!
