What Katie Did Seamed Stockings Contrast Pink Glamour

One thing I really like about this brand is how gorgeous their colours are; I have never seen this type of pink on a pair of stockings before; contrast band, RHT and a backseam. You only seem to get the with What Katie Did – and I am totally here for that!

This gorgeous pair was gifted from my Amazon Wishlist.

My Outfit

I thought I would go super colourful with this pair, so I added my Desigual dress and a tan rope belt to finish off the look. I was sloping around the house so no heels were added today (sorry)

The Review

From The Website: Inspired by Schiaparelli pink of course! These vibrant pink stockings are will ensure you stand out from the crowd. We have tried various shades of pink seams over the years, but to really show up the pink needs to be bright. The brightness is toned down when worn with clothing and these nylons work just as well with pastels as brights. The welt on these nylons is nice and wide which is more authentic to the 1950s and more more flattering and comfortable on curvier legs.

Elegant seamed nylons with a shocking pink seam
Perfect for livening up a ’50s style grey suit or little black dress
74% Polyamide, 14% Elastane, 12% Polypropylene
Classic 15 denier seamed nylons with a translucent champagne leg and pink point heel, seam and welt
Made from stretch nylon and elastane for ease of fit
Made in Italy, the home of traditional hosiery manufacturing

The Packaging: I do like their cute packaging. You get to see the stockings at the front in this huge window along with the size, and the back goes into a little more detail about the brand.

When you get in, you will find the stockings wrapped neatly around patterned card and folded so you have the foot and leg shaping to it.

I have to say I love their bands and how thick they are!

Getting Them On: I took my time getting them up the legs; I to make sure my seam was as straight as possible and also to make sure they bypass my anklets ok!

On The Legs: well let me start off with that gorgeous baby pink we are working with. I say baby pink but it reminds me of bubblegum pink as well – well anyways between those two colours. I love how cute and playful they look; yet still looking sexy at the same time. It’s a colour I haven’t come across before, and I really love them!

With the nude, I did some shots where flash was used. This is to show you what they can be like when you’re dancing away in the evening in high light! Although I have to say the nude shade is one that makes my legs look slightly lighter, so I’m not too keen on this.

The quality of these are not bad at all; they aren’t like normal RHT stockings I feel, but they are a great alternative. I didn’t damage these as easily as I thought I might which is always a good sign.

The fit is one size, which means these will stretch out a fair amount so they fit any leg size well. I would recommend checking the sizing guide before purchasing as they will have a maximum to them.I felt these fit my legs pretty well; I didn’t find any wrinkling and these weren’t falling down my legs either so I was pretty happy about that.

The feel of them are lovely and soft to touch, and they do not irritate the legs at all. They glide right on and off and they’re super smooth. I really did enjoy being in this pair.

The Toes & Ankle: I love how I have the pink toes and sole; it looks so cute. Now I did something a little different; I wore toe rings underneath my pair this time because I miss being in them! It was slightly uncomfortable to begin with, but it was fine after I started moving about.

Around the toes I had plenty of wiggle room to them, and there was no pressure added on either. I did find hem to be slightly big at first, but then it was fine once I started to wear them in a little.

Around the feet and ankles, it’s a lovely fitted finish. I am loving that sole piece underneath which works it’s magic into the backseam.

The Bands: now these band are nice and thick! I love that gorgeous thicker denier band, which helps to clasp on well too. This is a slightly different material to the rest of the legs, but it works so well against the nude.

It is pretty stretchy so it can fit your thighs and it holds up so well around the legs too. This is one band where you can stretch it out and it won’t ruin easily!

My Thoughts?

I love this pair, and that pink is so adorable. I would happily dress these to work or just on a random shopping trip. They are so playful and look amazing for Spring/Summer. I loved the fit and the quality of them, and would recommend on that basis!
