Let me tell you something random about Trasparenze – I don’t know if most of you know this but they have such a nice smell to them when you first open the packaging. When I first smelt it on a pair ages ago, I did wonder what was going on … But then I realised that 80% of their pairs have this scent (I have a few pairs that didn’t have this scent to them). It’s something that isn’t described on websites that stock Trasparenze but I thought I would point it out … As this pair smells amazing!

My Outfit

I kinda went a little on the dark side with my outfit today (unintentionally of course) with my black lace skater dress paired with my suede mules. I thought it was enough so the legs could still stand out.

I left my hair down and curly and added simple studs as I didn’t want to jazz it up too much!

The Review

From The Website: Platano is the Italian word for the sycamore tree. This is a beautiful creation of Mother Nature known for its proud and tall stance and its big and expressive leaves, and these tights give you those self same qualities. Whilst the former attributes are provided by your own long legs, the latter is made with lurex infused fabrics in the shape of leaves and vines. This nature themed pair of fashion tights are delightfully classic and also refreshingly new and original.

The Packaging: I love how their packaging changes with their collections; this one seems more luxury and fancy compared to others that I have previously reviewed. The front shows the model from toe to waist wearing the tights, with the back only going into small detail (washing, care etc).

As soon as you get in, you will find these wrapped around card (promotional on one side and instructions on the other on how to get them on).

As you can see below, these are vertically folded so you get that faint foot piece. This always helps as all you have to do is scrunch down and you will instantly get these lined up right. Little thing like that really do help when you’re someone on the go and don’t have time to waste faffing around.

Another image I captured below as you wasn’t gonna see me on this is the panty part; they have this super gorgeous design going on at the front and back to make it look like you have a pair on (this is if you normally go commando).

Getting Them On: once I did my usual scrunch and roll up, I found these to be so adorable on the legs. They aren’t symmetrical so you don’t need to stress about getting them lined up perfectly (I normally do). As these are a real fine net, you do need to be careful that these don’t snag. I wore silk hosiery gloves with mine just as a precaution 🙂

 

 

On The Legs: oh these look amazing! I love how they change with the lighting; one minute they look quite dark and the next they can look real light.

The quality of these are  great, but I have to admit I made a boo-boo by snagging them with my bag! I was so gutted as I lasted nearly all day without a single one! Even so, I have to say I didn’t need to hairspray or use anything to stop them from becoming runs!

The fit and feel were awesome; they fit so well on the legs and they don’t become lose whatsoever. They keep their shape throughout the day. The feel of them aren’t as rough as you might think, especially the silver little strands. On the other hand, this is probably more reason why they are prone to snagging!

The design is so simple yet enough; like you could wear this day or night to be honest as the detailing is just amazeballs. I covered my faux band on the leg, but on a night out I would expose this a little.

 

 

The Toes & Ankle: so we have reinforced toes with this pair – which is great as that fine netting would rip pretty easy otherwise! One thing I really do like is the design starts from the foot and works its way up!

There is plenty of wiggle room in these for your toes and feet to move freely and no extra hanging material (off the end of the strip)!

Around the ankles, there is no sign of any wrinkles where the hosiery might be falling down; this is a proper good fit on the legs and feet!

 

 

The Waistband & Gusset: no I tried to take images as best as I could without exposing anything of the side and front. As you can see, these have a thick band which clings onto the waist and then works into such a gorgeous floral lace design – acting like panties!

The fit of them are great; plenty of stretch and no rolling waistbands. They stay up so well throughout the day (and yep through hot weather too). It’s really elegant and I think it looks wonderful – such a great finishing touch!

 

 

 

My Thoughts?

I think these are just amazing; I love the way they look on the legs giving that light/dark contrast and that subtle design can work day and night. It’s a pair that I would recommend to wear for sure!
