Romartex Sensuous Wide Lace Stockings

Okay here we go with some deep lace stockings! It’s been a little while since I have been in a pair, and I am pretty excited to try these out. I have had good experiences with Romartex in the past, so I am hopng these live upto that hype!

Bringing out a new skirt, and doing an office outfit today. I teamed up my crop v-neck top with my wrap skirt, and I added some nude patent court shoes. I should have done black, but I wanted to do something a little different.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: I am trying not to start this blog off on a negative, but as I was preparing my stockings for a scrunch and roll, I found some damages to the pair, I saw a load of snags and also a hole in the lace bands. I had to be extra careful rolling these up the legs so I don’t cause any extra damage.

These were fine going over my anklets, as I too car doing so.

On The Legs: so I did not get off to a great start here. I will get into the issues I face a little further down.

I do like the whole concept of a deep lace band. It gives you more lacey goodness than your average band, and it works well for special occasion whether you wish to hide it or show a little of it off. I paired mine with a short skirt, and I can happily say that I managed to tuck it all away without anything showing.

So the issues. Let me bullet point it make it easier to read than a ramble:

Snags to begin with before I got them on – and a lot more that occurred during the day without my knowledge
A rip in the inner lace band which luckily was not too noticeable
Markings across the legs, which were noticeable
Quite bad quality in terms of how much wear I will be able to get out of this pair
I had some streaky lines that were slightly visible during the day on the inner leg

I would have preferred to have better quality so I know it can last me longer than 1 wear, but this was a total let down to be honest.

The fit was great. They worked really well for me, and I was able to sit them higher up the legs as well with enough stretch to give. Do make sure that you check the sizing guide before purchasing.

The feel of them were nice. They were soft on the legs, and a nice smooth roll up. I was just super conscious being in them knowing they damage so easily without me noticing.

The Toes & Ankle: a great thing with these is that they have nice reinforced toe coverage. It seems even across both, and I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to move and breathe. No pressure was added either during the day.

Around the ankles, there was no wrinkling to be found.

The Bands: okay so for a thick, deep band we only have 2 silicone strips to hold it up. I don’t know whether this is enough to be honest. I think I would have preferred 3 but spaced out on the bands so I know these will hold up really well no matter where I place them. As the lace doesn’t have much elasticity to it, it will only hold up at the top and being tugged if it does shimmy down or is stretched out on other parts of the leg during the day.

Another issue was that damn hole. I have no idea how that even occurred – and I am not impressed. My impression went for a cheap affordable brand to tacky within seconds.

The lace band itself – I do like it. I like the way it looks and it gives that oomph to a simple pair. But the quality lacked badly for me. I even found spots under the lace band where it seemed to have a little damage to them.

My Thoughts?

Unfortunately it’s a no from me. I love the way they look, but I can’t justify the price for the quality you get. I am really disappointed in this pair, especially as I’ve always had really good pairs to review from the brand before.
