Oh it’s been some time since I have dabbled in the Couture brand. I wanted to save this pair for after Valentine’s Day – as much as I love the red and black combo, it can get too much for V-Day so I wanted to wait to do this outfit for work.

Couture Ultimates ‘The Charlotte’ Seamless Tights
I originally bought this pair from The Tight Spot, however these are now discontinued, so I have added a link below where they have some pairs available.

My Outfit
I went with my red fit and flare dress paired with my rivet court shoes to bring this look together. I did find it hard to style these tights with other colours, hence why I kept it safe and just went with reds.

The Review
From The Website: Vixen is a wing of Leg wear International that has a simple but bold mission. It breaks down barriers and creates designs no other designer would have the chutzpah to make. Big red streaks and bold as can be bow designs put Charlie squarely at the center of this category. The stockings look very sexy and seductive, with heart racing red on black, but most designers purposely limit their involvement with this colour scheme to a few gentle motifs or a very narrow seam. Vixen see this as something that’s holding their designs back and the last thing Charlie will do is be held back.

The Packaging
Getting Them On: so we have a button-style backseam, which I really like to work with this morning. I did my scrunch and roll, taking my time to line these up as straight as I can before setting them in place. I not only had a backseam but a welt design to line up too.
These were fine going over my anklets too; they didn’t catch at any point.

On The Legs: now these are exciting! I’ve not seen a button backseam before, with a welt design. I thought it was quite intriguing, so I got me some to test out. Now I have tried this brand before a few times, and wasn’t all that impressed. I did feel the quality element lacked, so we’ll see how we go with these.
The quality – LACKS! So I ended up with so many weird markings around my legs, which were super noticeable. I even tried to smooth it out with my gloves, and nothing helped here. I will say I didn’t snag these, which was a bonus. I was worried that I would end up with a few, and luckily nothing ever came of it.
The fit of these were good for a medium. I couldn’t get a small, but medium was good enough. I had plenty of material for ‘even’-ish leg coverage, and I didn’t have to tug at them when getting them on. I also noticed there was minimal wrinkling about the knees and ankles!
The feel of these are ok; they are semi-soft with a bit of a grainy feel when you touch them. These did itch my legs now and again during the day, which I half expected to happen. These are nice, but honestly it’s not a pair that I can be in all day long.
The design is lovely; I love the button seam, leading into the thick welt that wraps around the thigh. The only dislike is that the band is unevenly stitched at the front.

The Toes & Ankle: this area I believe has no reinforcements to it. I mean it’s not too much of a biggie as the denier is quite high. I still kept my nails short and smooth just in case as I was going to be on my feet for majority of the day.
I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to breathe, and no pressure was added during my wear. Around my feet and ankles, I had a smooth finish with minimal wrinkling.

The Waistband & Gusset: so waistband is all good here. I had plenty of stretch around the waist, so it didn’t squeeze me during the day. I noticed that it doesn’t roll down on itself or shimmy down the waist either, which I was very pleased about. I did wonder being a size bigger if it would do that, but all clear!

My Thoughts?
I do like these, but I found them to be too faffy for my liking. I do love the design, and that uniqueness it has, but that’s it for me to be honest.
