Clio 602 Bas Prestige non-stretch RHT stockings

We are re-visiting Clio Stockings, and this time we are trying out a black pair (or known as Derby with the brand). I have reviewed these previously in other colours, and they were a great hit, so I am hoping this pair won’t be any different!

The Packaging

Getting Them On: these were such a lovely glide up the legs when I was getting them on. I did my scrunch and roll, taking care going over my anklets and then a smooth glide up the legs.

As they have the foot and leg shaping to them, it makes it easier and simpler to get them on, especially if you’re in a rush.

On The Legs: I am loving that sheerness on the legs. These have a barely black finish to them, which I love especially when you have a bold outfit on. These can work all year round in my eyes, however I know a lot of people will be switching to thicker deniers for Autumn/Winter. They also have a lovely shine to them; I tried to catch it when the sun was on them (and use flash in some parts so you can see).

The quality of these are pretty good; they held their shape for some time before they started to become stretched out. They do snag easily I will say as I managed to get tons whilst wearing them today, so that is something to note if you’re thinking of purchasing.

Now you will see there are some images with the stockings flush against the legs and some where it’s wrinkle heaven. These started off fitted on the legs, however as I was out and about during the day, doing all sorts – it led to them being stretched out a fair amount. These have no elasticity in them, which means when they are stretched out, they stay that way. When I did elongate the legs, I found they smoothed out a lot compared to if I had my legs bent.

The fit of these were perfect for my leg shape and height; if I went smaller they would be sitting a lot lower and tighter on the legs. If I went higher, these would just be falling off me and it’ll be wrinkles all around. I would certainly recommend checking the sizing guide before purchasing to ensure you get the right one for you. Do know that they stretch out whilst you’re wearing them ๐Ÿ™‚

The feel of them are exactly the same as my other pairs; they are soft, they are silky smooth and they feel amazing on the legs. They don’t irritate the skin at all, and they are great to be in all day long.

Around The Feet & Ankles: as you can see, these come with reinforced toes and heel. There is no sole reinforcement to these, which is a shame but no biggie. I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes in these; they open up as they stretch during the day.

Around the feet and ankles, it was fitted to begin with, however it turned wrinkly by the end of the day. It even wrinkled out and looked slightly baggy above my peep toes.

The Bands: these bands also open up so they fit you well around the thighs. They were easy to clasp onto, and they stayed up with ease. I did find as they loosened, they did twist a little which did annoy me slightly. If I was wearing a 6+ clasp suspender belt, I don’t think they would have shimmied round much.

They also have a reinforcement band underneath, which I really like. These also did snag a little, but as they are a thicker denier, it isn’t too bad.

My Thoughts?

Another good pair, however I felt these ones stretched out a lot more than my previous pairs. I don’t know if I like that to be honest, but it’s something to add. Otherwise I liked the quality and that barely black finish on the legs!
