We love a little Wolford, and I am excited to try this pair out.
This is one of many pairs that make me smile; they were gifted from my special on on my birthday last year, and I finally have got round to reviewing the collection. They sure know how to treat me 😉
Now I did have a little search across the Internet, and couldn’t find many places that still stock this pair. So if you can try and find it through a private seller, go for it!
Materials: 80% Polyamide, 20% Elastane
Price & Website: Unknown
Business mode is on today with this pair. I dressed them up wearing my Mango dress, and I added patent court shoes to finish the look. You can always switch to suede or faux leather to tone it down, or add a pop of colour to brighten the outfit.
Heels: Ochenta (gifted from my wishlist)
From The Wolford Website: Making a floral statement: Abstract flower petals decorate these stay-ups made of delicate net. The smooth stay-up band ensures a comfortable and secure fit.
• Matte finish
• 4cm-wide stay-up band
A stylish, trendy look.
Getting Them On: these were super easy to roll up the legs. I did my scrunch and roll slowly above my anklets, and then slowly rolled them up the legs and sat them in place. I didn’t want to stretch these out too much as they were in XS, so they sat mid thigh on me this time. If I had a size Small, I would be able to stretch them a little further up the thigh.
On The Legs: even though these are a crazy, bold pattern – I ABSOLUTELY love them! You can see a slight floral print in them with all these swirls and whirls. I thought they looked super quirky yet elegant. They aren’t a high denier so they don’t look super dark like you can get with some brands. These still look classy – which is why I love them so much!
The quality of these – you can never really fault Wolford to be honest. These have been great, and have lasted me all day without them snagging or ripping. Don’t get me wrong the material is pretty soft, so these can rip quite easily if you’re not careful – however I managed to go all day on the move without any issues.
The fit of these are perfect and true to size. As these are XS and normally you sit holdups low to mid thigh, I managed to get these to hug my mid thigh without it wanting to tug down. As I mentioned before, if I went one size up, I would be able to sit these higher as they would have extra material and elasticity to allow me to do this.
I didn’t have any gapping around the knees or ankles, and they have been good to me all day.
The fee is just amazing; they are soft, they are smooth and they are gorgeous against the legs. They don’t itch or rub against the skin at any point, and they are a great pair to be able to wear all day long.
The Toes & Ankle: now these don’t come with reinforced toes unfortunately, which is a shame. You will need to be careful with long/sharp nails as they will be able to cut their way through.
I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to move and there was no pressure added during the day either.
Around the feet and ankles, there was not a single sign of a wrinkle. These fit me perfectly.
The Bands: I actually love how these have a simple band to them with double silicone. It allows the legs to do its thing with a simple band to finish off the look.
The bands hold up very well and have great silicone bands to them. They hold up well the whole day, and don’t tug at the skin at any point either. They also have a great amount of tacky-ness to them, so it hugs the leg without hurting or irritating your skin.
The last image I wanted to show you how minimal the markings are after a day’s wear. Of course you will get some, however they aren’t as bad as other brands I have tried out before. These will soon fade after 10 minutes or so!
This is such a great pair of holdups, and I am so glad I got to wear these out and about today. They created a great statement to my outfit, and still keeping it chic too. I love the quality; Wolford never lets me down there. And I absolutely love this design too!
