Now the other alternative to the Wolford Bootlace Tights is the Trish tights. These are just as effective but a little more low-key compared to the whole leg being laced up!

I got these gifted by one of my amazeball followers, and I couldn’t wait to try them out!

My Outfit

So let’s jazz it up a little for work today with a bodysuit layered with a maxi side split skirt and adding black suede court shoes to make it more formal than casual wear.

I kept it proper minimum with jewellery and left my hair just washed; I really couldn’t be bothered to sort it out this morning.

The Review

The Packaging: so like an idiot I forgot to take a picture of the packaging! Put it this way, it’s real similar to Wolford Bootlace Tights but in a different colour, and the lace doesn’t go all the way up the leg.

However, I did manage to save the back piece of the card to tell you all about them:

“Modern elegance with an ankle boot effect. These sheer tights feature an elastic satin ribbon which is woven up the foot via small loops, finishing in a neat bow above the ankle. Looks especially attractive when work with court shoes and a short dress or skirt.”

These had the quality assurance sticker in them as well to make sure they are legit, folded so you have a subtle leg shape to them and ready to get on!

 

 

Getting Them On: I feel like I need to do a step-by-step guide to get these on. Firstly I made sure that the ribbon was loosely tied in a bow so that the ribbon doesn’t come out the holes when I roll these up.

Secondly, I did my scrunch and roll up the legs, taking care going over anklets to make sure that they don’t catch.

Thirdly, I did my line up at the front of my foot, and work the rest of the hosiery up my legs.

Fourthly, I set my ribbon in place, tugged it enough, wrapped it around my ankle and then bow-ed it to finish off the look.

 

 

On The Legs: okay so let me start off with the colour. I normally go for ‘Gobi’ as it works with my leg colour really well; it adds a nice golden-y tan colour, whereas Sahara I find to be a lot more lighter. It looks alright on the legs, but not something I would personally pick. I found (when I did my leg contrast; one leg covered in hosiery and the other bare) is that it looked a little pasty – I wasn’t really feeling it that much.

The denier is pretty light on these; they look around 20 but don’t state it anywhere. I love the fact that these are more of a statement on the feet rather than the legs making them look like shoe boots than hosiery paired with courts. I think the light denier and design work really well together.

The fit is always great with Wolford; I tested out Small which doesn’t have much difference from X-Small. It gives you that tad bit extra elasticity in the hosiery so you don’t feel like you have to properly tug these up for them to sit well on the legs. The feel of them are so soft and so smooth on the legs; it’s just this gorgeous silky texture you get with them which is one thing that always keeps me hooked!

 

 

The Toes & Ankle: so let us move down to the feet and how they fit around the ankles. So as you can see, these have reinforced toes – we have a thicker denier with a deeper shade on the front and back of the toes, which then works into the lace design.

They have plenty of wiggle room in them, with no pressure applied to the toes during the day either.

The ankles are the coolest part; these have the ribbon wrapped around them which I love. I thought it was just a front design until I saw that it works around the ankle too, to give that gorgeous boot effect.

 

 

The Waistband & Gusset: I am loving the waistband on these; they are so snug and fit so well. I love how comfortable they are and during the day, you don’t actually feel them on! I love how they have plenty of elasticity to them, which is great if you’re gonna be in them all the time!

The gusset is the same colour as the hosiery, so you don’t need to worry if this part is exposed in any way as you won’t get  alight or darker patch right bang in the centre! It’s soft, smooth and fits well against the skin.

The only problem I encountered was that these roll over themselves when you’re taking them off; it was such a nightmare unrolling them after I took them off!

 

 

 

My Thoughts?

I absolutely love how cute and versatile these are. They are a fab quality (they always are when it comes to Wolford) and they fit so well. I love the small yet effective foot design. I’m not too keen on the colour, but that’s more of a personal thing rather than a bad point.
