The Packaging

Getting Them On: as these have a control top to them, I had to do my scrunch and roll a little differently. I held it quite open at the top and where I knew it was nylon, I did my scrunch and roll from there. I rolled them slowly up the legs and then set the control top in place.

On The Legs: well I will say that I do like the look of this pair on the legs. It has such a smooth look, with even coverage too. It also have a semi-opaque touch to it, so it isn’t super sheer which I think works very well all year round.

The quality of this pair is lovely, however I did experience some issues with it during the day. I found these did snag quite a few times near to when I was taking them off (after this shoot was done), and also around the feet too. I was quite disappointed as all my Wolfords prior to this have never snagged or got damaged so easily before. I was super shocked with this pair as I didn’t expect that.

The fit of these were true to size, and fit me very well. I normally wear X-Small or Small, depending on the style, and Small was just right for me with this pair. I will say check the sizing guide before purchasing to make sure you will have plenty of room. It won’t hurt to go one size up for the control top element.

The feel of these were so lovely and soft. I really enjoyed being in them, and they served me very well during the day. The best part is that my skirt was gliding across them rather than rubbing against. These also don’t irritate the legs in any way either.

So the control top element is pretty good. I like the transition from a lighter denier to a thicker denier in stages. That way you have a smoother finish without it looking super odd. I have worn control top hosiery before where the cut off point of the control top is squeezing my thighs so I get a chunk peering through. This eliminates that so it keeps it all smooth under your clothing. This is a very light control top, as I didn’t feel any pressure and I felt it didn’t push much of me up in the places I was hoping it would. It might be more beneficial for those who really do need it, as they may see more of a difference than I can.

The Toes & Ankle: I am super happy that I have some reinforcements around the toes. I was hoping to, as it just adds to the pair and I don’t want to be creating holes.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes, and no pressure was added either. Around the feet and ankles, I had a smooth finish with no wrinkles.

Now this is where I experienced most of the damage. I don’t know if it is mostly down to my shoes, but the sides of the feet it managed to rub, which created this damage that I have to be super careful of next time I wear them. It is a shame as normally I don’t experience these issues, but this time round it wasn’t working with me.

The Waistband & Gusset: the waistband itself is pretty great. It is a nice thick band, that has a real good amount of stretch to it. It sits around the belly button on me, and doesn’t drop down at any point. I expected this to sit a little higher being a control top, however it doesn’t (and I am not complaining).

These also don’t roll or shimmy down the waist either – so you won’t have to worry!

My Thoughts?

I really do like this pair, but I am super disappointed in how easily it damages. I really did expect more, but never mind. I did like the look on the legs, and the control top is great for those who are after something lighter around their tums.

I am also experiencing more quality issues with Wolford in the last couple years than it used to be (products made before 2018). I would have to say it is not the same Wolford we know of anymore.
