Wolford Studio Spots Tights

Oh yessss! I am back in a pair of Wolfords after taking some time out to review other brands.

I have to say I was looking forward to these ones as they look super interesting, and I am getting into the hang of wearing darker hosiery in preparation for Winter!

My Outfit

Dressing a little more glam today, as I felt like doing a subtle glam piece. I paired up my black cami top with my gold skirt. I added a light black blazer, court shoes and dark tights to finish off the look. This is a great look for those who are partying after work or have do’s coming up in Winter.

The Review

From The Website: Spots in the spotlight. Delicate spots are highlighted all over the tights. They entwine softly around the legs like a second skin.

50 den / Matte shiny look

The Packaging

On The Legs: well don’t these look quite interesting hey! One thing I do like about these is that they give the effect of the being slightly shiny, when actually it’s the laser cut holes in the tights that lets your skin tone come through. I thought that was quite clever! I even remember seeing in on their website and I had to really pay attention to the model.

The quality of these are great; I can never complain with Wolford’s quality to be honest. They rarely make a bad pair in my eyes. They hug the legs really well so you won’t find any wrinkles, and these don’t snag or damage easily.

The fit of these are true to size and what I really like is that these don’t stretch out much on the thighs. I was half expecting it to as I got an XS pair, and I still had a good solid block colour on the legs. If I went one size up, the ‘spots’ wouldn’t be coming through as much as they are right now.

The feel of these are so smooth and really comfortable to wear all day. As soon as I slipped them on, they just caressed the legs. They are like a teddy bear hugging your legs! They are smooth, they are soft, they don’t irritate, they look great and they slip on and off easily. I didn’t have to even worry about my anklets in this pair.

The Toes & Ankle: these do not come with reinforced toes as such, but as these are a thicker denier, it should be ok with long nails as long as they are not sharp. I didn’t have any issues with my long nails in them all day.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes, and around the feet and ankles it was a lovely fitted finish with no wrinkles.

You also get the spotted design working from the toe seams working right to the band.

The Waistband & Gusset: as I mentioned previously, the spotted design works right to the band, so you can wear shorter clothing without having to worry about a boxer brief part.

I love the band on Wolford tights, as they are so comfortable and you hardly feel them under your clothing. They don’t roll down over itself or shimmy down the waist.

The gusset on these are a small palm-sized cotton patch in the middle, which means you have the option to go commando.

My Thoughts?

I gotta say for a thick pair of tights, these are great. I love that subtle design they have to them, the quality is always spot on and they feel wonderful on the legs. I would happily recommend these for Autumn/Winter!
