Wolford Satin Touch 20 Stay Ups

Well hello there Satin Touch – I have seen this model about for a little while now, and after adding them to my wishlistI finally get to review a pair of holdups! I gotta say I do love me some shiny glossy hosiery from time to time. It’s one that you don’t see dressed during the day, but more for evening wear which is a shame.

Now this time I am dressing it up for a day event – not that I have anywhere special to go to, but I wanted to create a different look with this pair.

My Outfit

I normally don’t wear long dresses, but this one was super cute and I just had to! I added some barely there strap heels to finish off the look so I’m exposing as much of the holdups as possible considering I am covering a lot of it. I added simple drop silver earrings to finish off the look.

The Packaging: I am loving their new packaging. It’s so crisp and so to the point, with all the information you need on the back of the packaging. When you get in, you will find the COQ sticker on one side, and the hosiery wrapped around promotional card on the other.

Unravelling them, you will see these have foot and leg shaping to them, to help you get them on the right way more than anything – especially if you rush in the morning like I do!

 

Getting Them On:

 

On The Legs: OH THAT GLOSS COULD KILL! I mean like how gorgeous does that look on the legs! Of course that is flash working its magic on the legs, but even without it looks amazing. I love that it suits my skin colour and doesn’t make it look lighter.

I know with the flash on, it’s turning my legs super white but then again I mean no-one is gonna come at me with flash on taking piccies so it’s all good!

The denier is perfect to give a flawless make-up finish on the legs when it’s in natural light. I love the quality of these too; Wolford never lets me down here and that is why their price is high! You get what you pay for with these.

I had plenty of stretch to cover my legs, and as my dress was super long, I could afford to sit my holdups lower than I normally do. I have to say I couldn’t really stretch them to the top of my legs as there wasn’t that much stretch in them, but I could take them mid-top thigh which is ok for longer skirts and dresses.

The fit of them are true to size, and if I went one size up I know these could  have stretched out a lot more on the legs but I was happy with where they were sitting anyways so it’s all good!

The feel of them are so amazing; they’re so soft and so silky smooth to touch. As I always say, this brand never let me down.

I have to say even though I am hiding them under my dress today, I felt like a queen with a luxurious secret to hide!

 

The Toes & Ankle: so these come with an invisible reinforced toe to them, purely because you can see them change in texture from the toenails to where my toes end. However, I will still say make sure you’re careful with long or sharp nails.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes, and no pressure was added around the toes either. Around the feet and ankles, I had a lovely fitted finish. From far, it looks like I’m not wearing any; the only way you can tell is by my anklets being covered!

 

The Bands: so the bands on these are gorgeous! I haven’t done deep lace bands for a while now, and I was nicely surprised with this pair. I love that they have their brand in the middle of the pair, which is then surrounded by an intricate lace pattern.

As I mentioned before, I sat my band a little lower down the thigh than I normally would, and I still felt comfortable. I know a lot of you sit it higher for the same reasons I do, but I will say I was comfy with sitting them here.

Now another great thing is these have 4 SILICONE BANDS! I was like woah when I first saw it, but I absolutely love it! It means these will stay secure ALL DAY!
