Wolford Sail Tights

I have to say I cannot wait to try this pair out for you all today; I love this cute print and it’s a fun little twist on the polka dot print too!

Now I have a little story behind this pair; I first ordered them off eBay from a private seller, however they didn’t end up sending them and I was left without a pair to review. I then got them gifted from my special person on my birthday, and I finally have them in my life to review!

My Outfit

I haven’t done a combo like this for a good while now, and as this is a new dress I just had to get it on and dress it up! I paired my outfit with some white peep toe heels (I don’t have closed court shoes in white so these had to do).

The Review

The Packaging

Getting Them On: I did my scrunch and roll up the legs, making sure I was taking care going over my anklets. I had to tug them up a little, so I could get full sheer coverage without any ombre effect on the legs.

On The Legs: how adorable do these look?! They are such a fun twist on the polka dot design, which I think looks pretty awesome. This design works from the toes up to the top thigh, before it becomes sheer to the waist.

The quality of the pair are amazing as always; these don’t snag easily as long as you take care when you’re in them and they fit so well. I was really good and didn’t end up damaging these during the day. Wolford tend to make their tights pretty durable, and that is how you know their quality is always spot on!

The fit of these are true to size, as always. I would advise going one size up if you’re not too sure. I have done it in the past where I have worn Small and Medium, and there wasn’t much different apart from extra stretch to them. I like the super sheerness so I went for XS. These also have enough stretch to them, so you shouldn’t have too much of an ombre look.

The feel of them are really soft, and super smooth. The little triangles are sewn on top, so you will feel them slightly raised but it’s not anything that would mark your legs up after wearing them. These also don’t irritate your legs in any way, as I had no issues been in them all day.

The Toes & Ankle: sadly these don’t come with reinforced toes, which is a shame as I was hoping they would have a little something. I will say take care with long/sharp nails, to ensure that these last as long as possible. I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to move, and there was no pressure added either.

I had a lovely fitted finish around the feet and ankles, as you can see in the images below.

The Waistband & Gusset: I have to say this was a good band for most of the day; I found it to roll down over itself a few times which was a little annoying. The band itself is pretty slim as you can see below, which I quite like. It sits around the belly button on me, with a straight seam down the middle. The band itself is comfortable to wear, and had enough stretch for it to sit well on my waist. It didn’t dig in or feel too loose.

One thing I do like is the band has a fine reinforcement underneath it, before it goes into a thinner denier.

This pair does have a cotton gusset, which is palm-sized and sits flush against the skin.

My Thoughts?

I really do like this pair, and how quirky they look! I love the fit and the quality, which is something I adore about Wolford. I would certainly recommend these if you can still get your hands on a pair!
