Most of you know that I like to carry on that Valentine’s feeling, so I decided to glam up today – for the sake of it. Now this pair was gifted for my birthday 2 years ago, and I am so glad they are finally out to review. This is a great outfit if you’re heading out into town, or have a glam dinner date!
Denier: Approx 30-40
Materials: 87% Polyamide, 8% Elastane, 5% Polyester
Website: Wolford – Night Sparkle Tights
I paired my double breasted blazer with a waist belt to give it a little more structure. I added some jazzy tights and a pair of snazzy heels to finish the look.
Belt: River Island
From The Website: Starry night sky: A special 3D effect is followed by a silver lurex thread, which makes the legs shimmer and shine.
• Comfortable, soft knitted waistband
• Matte/glittery finish
Getting Them On: you best believe I took my time to do a scrunch and roll up the legs. I was super careful around my anklets, before rolling them up the legs. I did find that they were itchy to begin with, and it took a while for it to settle down.
On The Legs: well this is a great pair, once the itching has stopped. I did experience it for a while once I got them on, however it did die down around an hour later. A way to get around that is to layer with a base pair.
The quality of this pair is awesome! I managed to keep them pristine all day long, and thank goodness because I did not want a snag or rip to ruin the way these look! Wolford always comes through for me, and they sure did this time round.
The fit was spot on once again; I felt these were stretched out enough to be slightly sheer to really show off the design compared to having extra material and making it more opaque. If these were a small, I know that it would look darker.
The feel is a little grainy, and a little rough but not enough to put me off. I would totally wear these again, over and over. I did mention these were itchy to begin with, but it did settle down and they were completely fine for the rest of the day.
The design I love! I have worn something similar before, but a smaller net and a lurex finish. It’s one that I could easily layer with jeans on top, or rock with shorts… basically anything really! The lurex is subtle enough to wear during the day without looking too glittery!
The Toes & Ankle: comes with no reinforcement as far as I am aware, so you gotta make sure the nails are kept short and smooth to ensure you don’t end up ripping them!
I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes, and no pressure was added during my wear either. The great thing about this pair is that you get this great design from the toe seams all the way to the waistband.
Around the feet and ankles, it was a smooth fit with no wrinkling.
The Waistband & Gusset: as I mentioned above, you get this design all the way to the waistband so bring on the short shorts and dresses!
The waistband on these are lovely! It is super smooth, really soft and has plenty of stretch to it. It fits really well around the waist and does not squeeze during the day either. They were super comfortable!
These do have a cotton gusset to them, so you have the option to wear underwear or just go commando!
I absolutely love them! They are a great fit, they look amazing and I would totally recommend them!
