Yes I am back in Wolford, especially the Neon 40s. It has been some time since I have styled a pair, and I am super psyched to try out grey! I have reviewed a variety of colours in the past. If you have missed those reviews, hit the links below (opens in a new tab):
This pair was kindly gifted, however the website they were on shows they are no longer available to purchase.
Colour: Grey (Anthracite)
Materials: 85% Nylon, 15% Elastane
Website: No Longer Available
I took inspo from a previous outfit I did, here I did a similar grey look. I paired up my bodysuit with my floral skirt and added my black leather court shoes. Unfortunately I don’t have the grey ones handy for this look.
Bodysuit: New Look
Getting Them On: I did my usual scrunch and roll up the legs, taking care going over my anklets. I took my time rolling them up the legs so I don’t randomly snag them.
On The Legs: now this is a different type of grey – and I am loving it. It’s a slate-like type of grey, and I absolutely adore this colour!
The quality is really nice, until I saw some weird markings around the top of the thighs. I don’t know why that occurred as I haven’t seen this happen with Wolford before. I did try to rub it away to see if it was just something that my skirt would have done, but it didn’t budge, so it might be a little quality issue there. Apart from that, they have been good to me all day with no snags, rips or ladders.
The fit of them are great; I am in-between XS and Small, and I opted for Small so I have a little more stretch to the to get more of a solid colour than an ombre effect. They hugged the legs really well, and there as no gapping around the knees or ankles.
The feel of them are super smooth and silky on the legs. With that shine, it acts like a coating on top, which keeps your legs slipping off one another. I gotta say you can tell they are a luxury pair as soon as you get your legs into them. They also don’t irritate the legs either, which is always a bonus.
I tried to take some images with the flash on, so you can see that they have a shine to them.
The Toes & Ankle: these have reinforced toes to them, which shade slightly darker. It isn’t that obvious until you look up close, but the fact that they have them is a huge bonus for me. It gives me that peace of mind that it won’t easily rip here no matter what type of footwear I wear. My toes had plenty of wiggle room in them and there was no pressure added during the day either.
Around the feet and ankles, it’s a lovely fitted finish with no wrinkles.
The Waistband & Gusset: is super comfortable and lovely to wear all day long. It comes with a reinforced part under the band before it becomes sheer. The band itself is pretty thin and has their logo going round the band.
The band itself has a lovely amount of elasticity to it, to the point it hugs really well without you feeling it whilst you move. These sat around the belly button on me, and not once did they roll or shimmy down my waist.
The gusset is a palm sized piece, and sits flush against the skin. This gives you the option to wear them with or without underwear.
I absolutely love this pair. The Neon 40 are great anyways, but this colour is incredible. I would happily recommend these.
