If only these were the real thing hey? Well let’s pretend they are – because I am not forking out for the real deal anytime soon!
I got this pair not too long ago, however the seller I bought it from on Etsy has stopped selling them.
Materials: Nylon & Spandex
Price & Website: No Longer Available
Something different I know; I wanted to create a casual Spring/Summer look. I opted for a drop vest with a floral bralette underneath. I added simple white trainers to finish the look. For my jacket, I added a denim oversized black one.
Vest: New Look
Bralette: Ann Summers
Getting Them On: I had to try apart from of the print near the ankle when I was doing my scrunch and roll – and then rolled them on. These are practically a one size fits all pair, so I didn’t have to tug too much to get these up the legs.
On The Legs: now this is when you can tell the difference between the real deal and the fakes. I did some close up images, so you can see where the markings and discolouration basically ruin the look. They are dotted around the legs, which isn’t too noticeable from afar, however the close you get, the more you see it. It doesn’t help as the tights are made of a material where it’s a matt finish, so it stands out more than usual. I can’t say I am disappointed as I knew I was buying a knock-off product here, but it is annoying when it is this bad!
The quality lacked, but I will say these stayed snag-free pretty much most of the day. I was nicely surprised by that. I am hoping that these will stay snag-free next time I am in them. No other damage was found during my wear either 🙂
The fit of these are true to size, however I will say I am not too sure how these would fit a larger person. These were a great size for S-M, but anything over M-L would struggle I feel. These wouldn’t look as dark, and would be a lot more stretched out on the legs – logo included.
The feel of these were really smooth on the legs. I did find some of the printed logo did irritate my legs, as they weren’t smooth underneath but it wasn’t too much of an issue. It would be if you have sensitive skin, so I would suggest wearing a base layer. I like that these have a smooth, matt finish at the top, that allowed my vest to brush past it.
I do like the logo design; it’s fashionable, it’s pretty funky and it certainly got people staring. I do have a similar pair (Unbranded Black City Name Slogan Print Tights) which I have worn before, and looked really good with casual clothing. These also don’t peel off easily as I did try and pick at it to see if it flakes off – nothing so far!
The Toes & Ankle: as you can see below, these come with a darker, reinforced toe. I had plenty of wiggle room, and no pressure was added during my wear either. They cover the toes pretty well, front and back.
Around the feet and ankles, these have a lovely smooth finish with no wrinkling.
The Waistband & Gusset: here we have the waistband with a reinforced boxer brief sitting underneath. The band itself is pretty thick, and stays up really well. It did scrunch down a few times, but no biggie as it didn’t push the tights down the waist. I had plenty of stretch here, so it hugged the waist well without it squeezing me.
For a fake pair, these are not bad at all. I love the design, however the quality did lack. I liked the fit for my size, and the feel was lovely. I would recommend these for sure if you’re after a fashion pair.
