I have really put these to the test, as this is the 3rd time wearing the same pair before I do a review. I wanted to trial them out before reviewing, just to see how well they last.
This pair I bought online from a store that has now been shut down. I am sure you might be able to get your hands on a similar pair off eBay or Amazon.
Size: One Size
Materials: Synthetic & Elastic
Price & Website: No Longer Available
Yep the fluffy number is back out again to play, and for another date night outfit. I paired my Asian-inspired dress paired with my fluffy sandals.
Getting Them On: at first I had to try away the print so I could get my hands through to do a scrunch. It took a little time, but I got there in the end; you don’t want to rush this in case it ruins the printed design.
I did my scrunch and roll up the legs, and then set it in place. I have to admit, I did not like the back panel at first, but it settled into position and wasn’t an issue.
On The Legs: I have so much to say about these, but let me start off with the 00 design. It replicates a similar design to the Gucci tights. Even though it is replicating, I still like them and think they look pretty cool!
The quality of this pair was great to begin with, until my dress decided to snag them up good and proper. There was a spot where it caught onto and I ended up with a mess on the thigh area. Not only that I did find some patches where the colour was a little off; it was spotty and pretty uneven which was quite noticeable.
The fit of these are true to size, however I think larger legs would struggle to get into these as there isn’t much elasticity in them to fit a Large or XL. I did have enough for even-ish coverage on my legs each time they were worn.
The feel of them are pretty smooth and really nice to wear. At first the print inside was a little scratchy, however that did settle after a little while. They didn’t cause me any other issues thereon after, so each wear was perfect.
The Toes & Ankle: these come with reinforced toes. They cover the toes fully (well on my they do) and there was plenty of wiggle room for my toes to breathe during the day. Each time I have worn them, they have never given me any issues.
Around the feet and ankles, there is smooth finish with no wrinkling. Each time I have worn these, it does stretch out slightly but never to the point I am left with wrinkling.
As you can see in the images below, the pattern doesn’t have right near the reinforced toes. It starts half way down the foot for some strange reason.
The Waistband & Gusset: it comes with a decent sized waistband that sits well on the waist. This comes with a reinforced boxer brief, where the pattern ends and reinforcement begins.
I had plenty of stretch in this waistband, and not once has it lost its elasticity over each wear. The only downside is the back panelling to them. It is a one size pair, which means they are catering for larger sizes here, but I have to say it’s uncomfortable to begin with if you’re not used to wearing them.
I actually like these, even if they are a knock-off pair. The quality was a let down, however they did feel nice and look good. I would recommend if you’re after a short-term pair to follow the fashion trends.
