And now for some statement tights to hit the blog; I saw this pair a few months ago and fell in love with the design. It’s something so different and not one you could easily come across. I have done something similar in Wolford before, and absolutely loved them, so I am glad to be giving these a try.
Size: 1 – Small
Materials: 89% Polyamide, 11% Elastane
Website: UKTights – Trasparenze Orione Tights
I wore my scope-neck bodysuit paired with my high waisted skirt and added my court shoes to finish it off. I did want to add colour with my shoes, but I thought it would look better to try and get it to look like one piece.
I kept my hair up as it was a hair wash day and then added simple earrings. You can always bling this up to really make your outfit pop, but for work it was enough.

From The Website: Orine is perhaps the most complex and densely designed item of legwear from the new Trasparenze collection. These tights feature a rich floral lace on the thighs and feet, and a dark and opaque section on the lower leg. This is to create a contrast effect and a kind of imitation corset, as the black part is joined up by a lace up effect. But this is no effect, it is actually a real lace that finishes in a bow at the top of the knee. This is creativity at its finest.

The Packaging: so as you can see that lovely model with long legs is sitting there looking gorgeous in these tights. I am so hoping these will sit on me like they do on her! The back goes into a little more detail (sizing, hosiery care etc)
When you get in, you will find these wrapped around promotional card, with the lace detached from the hosiery. I did wonder why they weren’t already laced in for convenience but I suppose it makes it easier to get the tights on and lined up before you get the lace on to make it easier.
Also I would like to thank the quality team for a little piece of hair that was entwined in my tights lol!
Getting Them On: right I will forewarn you now that I had some serious issues with these due to my bent-ish legs! I tried so hard to get these lined up as straight as I can, but these do turn on the legs, which makes it super awkward during the day. I got these on the best I could trying to line up the thick lace part in the centre of the legs. What helps (but can also work against you) is that these have so much stretch to them, I ended up having a massive gathering at the top of my thigh, so I had to push these down.
When I did push them down a little, they ended up creasing around the ankles. So either way, you can’t really win here!
Anyways .. with anklets, these were fine; I had no issued getting the lace over them.
On The Legs: these are looking amazing, but I can’t tell you the hassle I have been through with these today. So I took the laces with me to work, so I could take my time to do them; the holes are super small and you need to be careful when you pinch them in up. Once the laces were done, they sat nicely for a while, but as soon as you start walking around, the laces come easily undone. So you either have to tighten them up or double knot them.
The quality of the tights are real good though; I had no issues with snags whatsoever during the day and as I mentioned before, they had plenty of stretch to them so you can adjust easily if needs be. That’s how I spent most of my day was adjusting the lace part to sit straight and over the knee as well. I suppose this depends on your height; if you have longer legs, then I don’t think it would be too much of an issue compared to a shortie like me.
The fit of them are good; but I felt there was a lot of material for a size small in these. I didn’t need to tug them up as I had enough material but this worked against me at one stage too. The feel of them are soft; but also grainy on the lace parts. I felt these could snag super easy if you wasn’t careful around these parts. On the plain denier part; I had no issues at all in terms of quality and fit.
The design however is to die for; I have done a few like this before with Wolford and loved it. I paired with court shoes so they all looked like 1 joint piece rather than split. The shorter skirt made all the difference too as you could see the thigh lace part which really set it off well. Around the feet it was slightly hidden.
The Toes & Ankle: so I had plenty of wiggle room; there was no issue with that whatsoever. I didn’t find any extra material on the sides of the toes and it was a good fit overall.
Around the ankles, these do sit flush if you have pulled them enough on the legs. When I pushed them down slightly, I did find they crinkled and it didn’t look nice to be honest (unless you can hide it wearing boots)
The Waistband: so the band is a good one or sure; it held up the tights well throughout the day and I had no issues with it in terms of losing elasticity and falling down. I felt these were super comfortable around the waist, had a lovely bit of stretch to them and were great overall!
Overall I think these look absolutely amazing, but what let me down was the hassle they were during the day. These would work better being evening tights rather than day-time, but it really did frustrate me by the end of the day.
I would certainly recommend based on the style and how they look, but even the extra stretch in them was a bit too much for me.
