Trasparenze Laerte Tights

I’ve done quite a lot of lighter deniers, which I should be doing some heavier ones as it is getting colder here in the UK.

Anyways these beauties were a gifted pair, that I am so excited to try out. I don’t do many opaque pairs with patterns on like this, so I kept my outfit super simple with this pair.

My Outfit

I wore my black shift dress paired with simple suede court shoes to finish the look. Pretty dark outfit I know, but I wanted something that would look decent for work today.

The Review

From The Website: Decorated calf to knee, and again at the waist, with large, sweeping flower and stem motifs on an opaque 60-denier leg, these Trasparenze Laerte Floral Tights channel art nouveau illustration shapes for their curves, leaves and petals. These sheer-to-waist tights have the adventurous styling and impeccable manufacturing standards we’ve come to expect from Italy’s Trasparenze brand. The tights have a breathable sewn-in gusset and flat waist and tie a smooth line and supreme comfort.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: took me a little time to get them on today. I wanted to make sure they were as symmetrical as possible on each leg before I rolled them up and set them in place. I did my scrunch and roll, taking care of my anklets too.

On The Legs: as you can see below, the light does change the look of these beauties. I did find these looked lighter when I was out and about, compared to how dark it might look in some images below. I would class these more as semi-opaque rather than opaque to be honest.

I do like the design; the blue contrast against the black is one that works well, and quite subtle in comparison to the other colours you could get. I would recommend trying these before the others if you’re not used to designs like this; it isn’t too loud, too bold or in your face and it still gives a nice statement to your outfit. I like how it starts from the ankle and works right up past the knee to – simple yet effective enough.

The quality of this pair is lovely! I have spent all day in them, and not once did I encounter any issues; snagging, rips, tugs etc. They have been a great pair that has worked with me all day.

The fit of these are true to size, and I had enough material to achieve even leg coverage without having any patchy parts shown on the legs. Granted my thighs are a little thicker so it always does stretch out more here, making it sheerer but it wasn’t as bad as what I thought it was going to be. I would recommend going a size up if you are unsure, just so you aren’t working with a super sheer pair that may rip.

The feel of these are lovely and soft. These don’t have a microfibre feel to them – I know this is important to some people. They sit against the skin well and don’t irritate either.

The Toes & Ankle: I believe these don’t have reinforced toes to them, which is a shame but then again as it is a thicker denier, you could class them as having some reinforcement to them.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes, and no pressure was added either during my wear.

Around the feet and ankles, it has a smooth finish with no wrinkling – which is always great news when working with thicker deniers!

The Waistband & Gusset: and the surprise piece. These also have a lovely floral design at the top too. I can’t show this off fully, but I will leave it up to your imagination…

The band itself is great; it sits well on the waist without it rolling or shimmying down during my wear. I also like how they have their brand logo stitched in, which makes it all that more luxe. The band also has a lovely amount of elasticity to it, so you have enough stretch if you fancy eating all day long like I have been doing!

These do have a cotton gusset to them, which sits flush against the skin and doesn’t move out of place either.

My Thoughts?

A pair I have enjoyed being in today They have kept me warm, they have made me look great and contributed to my outfit so well. I know a pair of heels that match this colour would work so well with them, but that is one colour I don’t have! Trasparenze has always been one of my favourite brands, and this is a pair I would happily recommend from their collection.
