I picked up something a little interesting from UKTights – and a great little piece too! I was thinking to myself for ages I would love to pick up a pair of tights that has this feature to them, but what would I put in? Where could I find them Does anyone actually do them?

And voila – they appeared! … Now I know you’re wondering what on earth is she on about? Read on…

My Outfit

I haven’t done a simple casual outfit for so long now, and I really felt like doing a laid back on today with this pair. I decided to pair my bodysuit with my faux suede shorts and I added my trainers to keep it super casual. You can always switch to heels or boots if you prefer 🙂

The Review

From The Website: Cassandra is easily the most simple and elegant item of hosiery in the new Trasparenze collection. These tights are a plain and pattern-free design with a cosmetic leg that matches or compliments most skin tones. The great addition to this item that sets it apart is the foot. This area features a sole cushion like an insert, which is ideal for giving you a little bit more comfort when you are wearing heels.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: now I had to make sure I was getting these on properly around the feet and ankles, before I could start gliding them up. I lined them up so they were (pretty much) even, took my time going over my anklets and then straight up the leg!

On The Legs: let me start off with the leg coverage and all that before I got into the main feature of this pair. I have to say I am loving the leg coverage on this pair! You can see there is no ombre effect happening on the legs, and it’s this perfect finish. The denier on this pair is 20, which I feel is right as it does shade slightly darker. I suppose in sunlight they might go a touch lighter.

The quality of this pair is spot on; they have not snagged or ripped at all whilst I have been in them. I thought I might end up doing so, however I can proudly say I took super care being in them today. They have a nice amount of stretch for the size you get, and they hug the legs really well once they’re on.

The fit of these are true to size, and I would make sure you check the sizing guide before purchasing. I say this as you need to make sure the sizing is right for the feet section as well as the leg length so it fits correctly.

The feel of them are mega smooth, and super soft to touch; I actually forgot I was wearing a pair to be honest. They don’t irritate the legs at all, so you have pure comfort all day long.

Now the main feature; the feet! These have a comfort sole, which is supposed to help when you are pairing them with heels or if you’re on your feet all day. It starts from the toe reinforcement, works its way under the sole and comes up around the sides of the ankle. I thought this was a great idea, as you have this small amount of cushioned comfort built within the tights. The best part is that it’s supposed to be hygienic cotton as well! Another plus point is that these can act like a barrier so it can stop the heels from rubbing against the back of the foot whilst you’re in them (I need to test this part out!)
The only downside I found was it wraps around the whole ankle in a sense, which is quite hard to hide. I can imagine these peering through the side of my heels if I’m not wearing court shoes. It can be quite limiting if I am honest. I was wearing trainers with this pair, which hid most of it but it still did peers throughout the sides at the top.

The Toes & Ankle: as you can see, we have dark reinforced toes, which then works down the soles and onto the back and side of the ankle. This is a great piece they have added onto the pair, and I really like the idea. I just wish it wasn’t too big at the sides so it can be a discreet feature.

I had plenty of wiggle room around the toes, and there was no issue with pressure being added to the front of the feet.

Around the feet and ankles, it’s a smooth fitted finish with no wrinkling.

The Waistband & Gusset: we are working with a slim band here, and I like it. This is one band that managed to stay put like this all day with it rolling over itself, wrinkling down or moving out of place. It was super comfortable around the waist, it has plenty of elasticity to it, and I loved it overall.

I will point out that I have no idea what that is around the seam in the middle; I was worried that I tugged it when I was getting them on, but I found out that it was on the tights at the front and back. I am hoping it is nothing to be worried about when I wear them again!

The gusset is a small cotton patch, and sits flush against the skin.

My Thoughts?

I really love this concept, and I love the quality too! Trasparenze always have some great hosiery out, and this is a simple pair that can be worn with anything. The comfort sole was a great idea and I am sure these look great in a natural skin colour so it blends well! I would happily recommend these!

  1. You may remember a few years back was a brand I was pretty fond of called BooTights/SockTights that had extra support in the footbed to make them more comfortable in boots and booties. These remind me of those.
