Spanx are back in my life, and I am so excited to try a pair of hosiery in their brand. I did their shorts a while ago, and enjoyed being in those, so I have high hopes for these beauties!

The Packaging

Getting Them On: I am working with a long pair of hosiery today! I did my scrunch and roll, and rolled them up the legs with such ease. These were fine going over anklets as well, and didn’t catch at all when they grazed past them. I was a lovely smooth glide up the legs, and all the way up the stomach before setting in place just under my bust.

On The Legs: now these are something special, and I am so glad I get the chance to review these.

The quality is really nice, and well made for sure. These are super hard to damage, and there have been plenty of chances for that to happen today (a lot of hubbub at work and in the car today!)

These fit like a dream, although I do feel these might be one size up from what I am supposed to be wearing. I had enough material for even leg coverage and there was no wrinkling or gapping to be found anywhere either. I did really enjoy being in these.

The feel of them are so soft, and so comfortable. There is no need to layer as these don’t irritate the skin; layering would just be optional. They hugged my legs throughout the day, and also helped with the cold too.

So these are supposed to be supportive around the thighs – and I can say that I didn’t feel much of a difference. Normally with control top/support tights you can feel the difference, but I didn’t with this pair. They just felt like any other – which I suppose is a great thing!

The Toes & Ankle: these come with reinforced toes, which you can faintly make out in the images below. They do blend in very well with the rest of the legs. I cut my nails the other night, smoothed them down and made sure they were ok before popping these on today.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes, and no pressure was added during my wear. These were super comfy on the feet!

Around the feet and ankles, there wasn’t much wrinkling, which I was impressed with. I assumed there would be as I’m in a thicker denier, but they were pretty smooth!

The Waistband & Gusset: now I have a fair bit to say in this section.

Let me start with the waistband – well under bust band! These sit so high on me, to the point it was touching my lingerie. It was a little uncomfortable to begin with, but I got used to that feel quite quickly. These would be perfect under bodycon dresses for sure! There are no silicone bands to help grip these to the skin; it’s made of an elastic band which has enough stretch in there to keep it in place. I was worried that this might move during the day, but they stayed put majority of the time. I did have times where they did wrinkle and shimmy down slightly, but nothing major.

These also have an open gusset; this section is made of 2 flaps which can be stretched apart, so there is no need for underwear here. This material is super soft, and sits flush against the skin too.

This part is also supposed to be a control top. Did I think it was? Honestly, no… I felt they were a very light control top that just hugged my body well, rather than a tight squeeze where you can feel it working its magic.

The only downfall here is that thick seam – that would be the only issue with wearing tight-fitted clothing with this pair, as I can imagine his bulging through.

Apart from all that – it was very comfortable to wear. I didn’t think I would like it as much as I do. Around the stomach and under the bust, it is a smooth material, just like the rest of the legs.

My Thoughts?

I really like this pair, and enjoyed being in them for sure. I like the concept of them, and it certainly has been some time since I have been in a high waisted pair too. The fit was beautiful, the feel was just great and overall I would recommend for sure.
