We have a new addition to the blog today, and this pair I got a while back from a private seller. However, I managed to find a website that still sells this pair, I shall drop it below!
Okay so I know a lot of you may think my outfit is quite dark, however I took inspo from an old colleague of mine who loved to wear skirts and dresses, but always paired with opaques. She did it with all different colours on a daily basis. I did wonder why she wore opaques in summer weather; she was not happy with her legs and preferred creating statements with opaques.
So that is what I have done today; I wanted to dress a little like her, pairing midi skirts with opaques to create a look that can work for the office all year round!

Getting Them On: so I did my usual scrunch and roll, and slowly rolled them up the legs. I did notice that this pair did feel slightly grainy and rough to touch but I’ll get into that a little further down. They were easy enough to roll on.
These were fine going over my anklets too.

On The Legs: okay so where do I start? Let me start off with the quality. So honestly speaking, I didn’t know what to expect here, however I was a little disappointed as I though these would be quite smooth and soft on the legs. I normally like wearing micofiber tights, and have never really had an issue up until now. I felt these were a little rough on the legs, and it felt grainy. They felt pretty cheap and honestly I didn’t feel great wearing them. I will say they didn’t snag or rip easily which is great for durability, but I wasn’t comfortable in them at all.
I did also find that these had static to them, so my skirt kept clinging on to them too!
The fit of these are true to size, and I had no issues with this at all. I felt they hugged the legs well, and they fit without any gapping around the legs. If you are unsure, you can always go one size up and keep the semi-opaqueness as well.
I won’t go too much into how they felt as I mentioned it above, but I was not happy to be honest. These could have been so much better when you compare to other brands who use microfiber.
The Toes & Ankle: so these have a slight reinforced toe to them, which I am happy with. I would have been even more upset if it didn’t as I’ve already been let down here. They fit very well around the toes, and there was plenty of wiggle room. It does look like these are pressed against my toes a lot, but I can assure you that I was fine wearing them for the day.
Around the ankles and feet, there was no wrinkling to be found, so you get a nice fitted finish.
The Waistband & Gusset: okay so I have a control top from the top thigh to the waistband. You can see the difference as it had a cut off point which works into a slightly thicker denier above. Does it at like a control top? – Nope I didn’t think it did for me to be honest. It felt like any other pair of tights, which (once again) let me down!
I had a nice amount of stretch in the waistband and these held up well during the day too. They sat around my belly button and stayed put, so a plus point there.
These also came with a gusset, as you can pictured below. These don’t sit flush against the skin for most of the day as I felt the material was overstretched here. I have no idea why if everywhere else fit ok, but I won’t question it to be honest.
My Thoughts?
So I’m glad I gave them ago, as they seemed like a good vintage pair. However this is one I won’t be recommending as I am about comfort, quality and a good pair that will last. I didn’t find that with these sadly.
