Silca Mistery Holdups

The last pair in my Silca collection, and I am actually sad it’s coming to an end. I have thoroughly enjoyed being in this new brand, and I have loved every piece so far.

I thought I would end with an off-white / ivory pair of holdups, seeing as this is normally a hit with a lot of my followers. Once again I haven’t dressed these up with an outfit.

The Review

From The Website: Very elegant sheer stay-up in lycra, with high silicone lace edge.

The Packaging: once again it’s simple packaging with the model wearing the holdups on the front along with the brand and model name. The back goes into a little detail about the holdups inside. When you get in, you will find these are folded so they have foot and leg shaping to them, wrapped neatly around plain card.

Getting Them On: I wanted to show you what they looked like against bare legs, so you can see how sheer the pair are and the colour is pretty light. Just bear in mind this will depend on your own skin tone – whether you’re lighter or darker.

I tolled these up with the silicone bands flopped outside so it made it easier to roll on. These were fine going over my anklets, but do be careful if you wear sharper ones.

On The Legs: well this soft cream colour is just perfect for a delicate look. I paired up with some killer heels, but you can always add sandals for a softer look. These would be perfect for any upcoming brides or if you fancy trying out something new in terms of colour. I have done a soft ivory before, but this time I’m working with a creamier colour, and I absolutely love it.

You could easily pair these up with a work outfit or maybe if you have a dinner date and show off a peek of the band too 😉

The quality still does not let me down; I have been in them all day and I haven’t had any snags or rips. You know me, I like to test them out by rushing past sharp corners and bumping into things, and well these are still intact and looking amazing.

The fit of these are once again true to size, and they fit perfectly on the legs. There is a lovely amount of stretch to them, so you can sit them higher on the legs like I did. I normally don’t sit mine low on the thighs purely for comfort, so I’m super happy that these can be stretched out.

The feel of them are just like the others; soft, smooth, a lovely silky feel that you don’t want to stop touching. They feel amazing on the legs, and nope it doesn’t change if you stretch them out on the legs either. That’s one thing I love about it – the quality can change when it’s stretched more than necessary.

The Toes & Ankle: so the toes aren’t reinforced on this pair, and this can be a good and not-so-good thing.

Good because you can wear open toe sandals and shoes without having to worry about the denier difference.

Not-so-good because you just got to be that little bit more careful with long or sharp nails, just to make sure you don’t end up ripping them.

The toes have plenty of wiggle room and no pressure is applied during the day. Around the feet, these are caressed well without any tightness. The same goes for the ankles – it’s a fitted finish with no wrinkles too 🙂

The Bands: are amazing let me say. The floral lace design is stunning against this colour, and it just finishes off the pair so nicely.

These have a double silicone band to them, which is at the top of the welt and is pretty tacky so they stick to the legs well. I did test them throughout the day to see if they lose it at all when I keep pulling them away, and I can say these held on really well each time. I didn’t feel like they lose their hold any less, and I am super pleased about that.

These also have a little stretch in them (not much mind), so they aren’t squeezing your thighs and creating unnecessary bulges.

My Thoughts?

I love these, and I’m only experimenting with these colours a little more now. I felt these looked amazing on the legs, and these can certainly be dressed a lot more than pure whites I feel. These can work dressed up or down, and these will last as the quality is amazing.
