Yep we have another new brand on the blog today, which I lack information about! This is another brand, which I think is American (do correct me if I am wrong) that I am excited to try out…
I don’t know about you, but this is a pair of micromesh tights; very similar to some stockings I have tried out in the past. I’m not too sure how I feel about these, but we shall see how we go…
Materials: 100% Nylon
Price & Website: Unknown
Smart causal today wearing my race crop top paired with my grey high waisted jersey skirt. I added my new block heel sandals to finish off the look, but you can always switch to pumps for a proper casual look.
Race Top: Zara
The Packaging: so interesting vintage packaging on these, which I quite like. It makes a change from what I see on a daily basis 🙂
The front shows the model wearing the tights along with the size. The back is plain as you can see below. When you get in, you will find them neatly wrapped around plain card. They also have foot and leg shaping to them so you can work out which is the front and back of the tights.
On The Legs: I did a scrunch and roll up the legs, taking care going over my anklets. What I found was these were a tad too small for me. I had the gusset sitting inches away from my skin and there was no way I could pull these up any further due to the mesh. As these sit quite low on the thighs, it makes it so hard to actually move in these. Luckily I have a long skirt on so you wouldn’t be able to notice, but it was such a pain.
I also did a little comparison on the legs to show you the slight difference this pair makes; I found it lightened the skin a little, but not sure if it made it look a little smoother.
The quality of these are pretty decent as I didn’t end up snagging or ripping these once, so I was super impressed with myself. I will say pairs like this you have to be super careful in as they will snag without you even noticing!
The fit of them were a little to small for me, and I knew it alright. If they were one size up, I feel these could have sat where they’re supposed to and do their job properly.
The feel of them were grainy due to the texture of the tights, but they’re not the type to irritate the legs unless you’re sensitive. They are a little soft – it’s weird saying that but it’s not a rough grain feel on the legs.
The Toes & Ankle: so the toes are reinforced, and I have to say it’s a decent cap on the toes as well. It covers the front and back well. I had a little wiggle room in these as I did pull these up a little at the beginning, my toes did feel pressure. This did ease once the tights had settled into place.
Around the feet and ankles, I did find some wrinkling when you bend you ankles otherwise it’s a fitted finish when you’re standing up and moving.
The Waistband & Gusset: now as the gusset was sitting super low, to the point it’s half way down my thigh, this meant the waistband is sitting a lot lower than it should. I found it was sitting on the hips but you could feel it shimmy down slightly when you move about.
The band itself is pretty decent; it has plenty of elasticity in it but it is quite thin which means it will press into your skin and leave markings. I did find that with mine when I took them off.
The gusset isn’t really a gusset either; it’s just this big large open area really.
Oh I forgot to mention, these are reinforced from the band down to the mid-thigh (well it’s lower thigh for me) before it works into the micromesh.
If these were a size bigger, this review would have been different for sure. The quality isn’t bad at all, but the fit of them are way off for me and they say so much lower than I wanted them to. Apart from that, they are not bad at all.
