Shein Crochet Tights

This is a new brand to the blog, but there isn’t much information I can give you on these. This company is mainly for clothing, however they do sell a small handful of tights.

This pair (amongst two others) have been gifted a while back, and their purchase links are now unavailable so I couldn’t obtain any more information for them sorry!

My Outfit

I kept it pretty simple with my outfit today with a ribbed cream one-shoulder jumper dress and my statement tights. I paired up plain black boots after this shoot as I was heading out, and added some gold hoops to finalise the look.

The Review

The Packaging: these came directly from the online company, and was packaged like so. They don’t really give you much detail to be honest, so I’m just working with what I have.

When you get in, you will find them with a piece of plain card inside of them. Make sure you take care pulling this out so it doesn’t damage the tights.

Getting Them On: I did my usual scrunch and roll up the legs, trying to make sure the pattern lines up and is symmetrical as possible on each leg. I hate it when it twists and turns!

These were fine going over anklets too, as long as you take care!

On The Legs: well they aren’t too bad I must say. I do love the design of them, and I used to have a similar pair many years ago that I loved wearing. I loved the chunkier knit to them, which helped create a statement bold look with minimal effort. Just remember these can easily start to twist and turn as there is no gusset or a good band holding them in place, so keep your eyes peeled if that is a major issue for you (like it is to me!)

The quality of them are pretty cheap; they’re made in China so it explains it all really. Don’t expect a lot from a pair like this; you’re better off investing in a pair that costs a little more than compromise! The positive side to it is that I didn’t end up with any snags or rips.

The fit of them are ok, but they kept on falling down most of the day so I wasn’t happy that I had to keep pulling them up every so often.

The feel of them are rough and they do irritate the skin a little too. They are a little soft, but not like pairs you get where you pay a little more for. These are what I call ‘bog standard’ and just do for a few wears before you get rid of them.

I gotta say I wish these were so much better so I could actually wear them more often, but as they’re pretty bad there is no way that I would be able to last a few hours in them.

The Toes & Ankle: so I think these have some reinforced part but it’s so small that it doesn’t even start to cover the nails. I gave up with trying to set it in the end and just carried on with my day.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to move and there was no pressure added either. The same can be said for around the feet too. The ankles had a fitted finish so there were no wrinkles in sight.

The Waistband & Gusset: well let me say how much of a pain these were for me today. The band shown below isn’t that great, to the point that my tights started to fall down once I was on the move. They don’t hold up the tights well at all, and if anything I spent most of my day pulling them up.

There isn’t a gusset to these either; it’s just a straight seam so I wouldn’t recommend wearing these commando unless you’re happy taking that risk.

I was super disappointed with this section to be honest.

My Thoughts?

To be fair these aren’t the greatest pair, but then again when you are buying from China they never are. I wouldn’t recommend these to be honest. The only thing I like about them is the pattern.
