Shein Starry Tights

Going intergalactic now with my starry tights. I was waiting to do this review for a while with a good dress, but as that never worked out I decided to dress them up for work instead. This pair would also look great if you’re planning a night out or going shopping.

This pair amongst 2 others have been gifted a while back, and their purchase links are now unavailable so I couldn’t obtain any more information for them sorry!

The Review

The Packaging: what you see below is what you get. These were not branded well and I didn’t have a model name for them at the front. The back gives you no details whatsoever about the pair inside. When you get in, you will find these wrapped around card, and flat folded so you get no leg or foot shaping.

Getting Them On: so these were interesting. As I was starting to open them, I found that both sides stuck together due to the star detailing. So I spent a good few minutes prising it apart just so I could get my legs in. I didn’t expect that, but then again these are a cheap pair…

On The Legs: let me start off with the quality of them. I felt these were ok, but they could have been a lot better. I had the issue of prising them apart this morning, and then they have been itching my legs ever since. On the inside, the stars and dots aren’t coated, which means these will irritate the legs if you choose not to layer something underneath. They were pretty uncomfortable until I had to take them off, cream my legs and then roll them up to stop it.

Plus these also snag easily if you’re not careful. These are not such a great pair to be honest even if they do look amazing!

The fit of them are fine on my legs; I felt I had enough stretch in them so they hug the legs well without any gapping. These are a once size pair however I do feel that it wouldn’t fit larger sizes well unless you’re happy to stretch the design out.

The feel of them are just rough and horrible; I didn’t feel any smoothness on the legs at all, and if anything they just annoyed me all day.

The design does look so gorgeous and I really do like it, but is it worth all this hassle? I don’t think so. I like my hosiery to feel like I’m not wearing any and certainly not to give me any problems, but this pair is the complete opposite.

The Toes & Ankle: so the toes come reinforced and it’s a good amount of reinforcement to them too, which I really like. There is plenty of wiggle room for the toes to move and breathe, and the same can be said around the feet too. I do like how the design starts right under the reinforcement and carries on up until the boxer brief.

Around the ankles, you get a lovely fitted finish.

The Waistband & Gusset: I didn’t show you the sections, but these have a reinforced boxer brief to them – this means they are a thicker denier and plain black from the band down to the bottom of your tushy. The design also ends there too.

The band itself isn’t too bad, as it held up well and didn’t give me any issues. However I can see these losing elasticity over time. They hug the waist well, but only just.

These also have no gusset to them, so you get a seam going through the front to back.

My Thoughts?

Not the best pair to be honest, despite how lovely they look on the legs. There are so many ways this pair could be improved, but that’s the bad thing about cheap pairs from China.
