What other way can you dress bold tights? BOLD COLOURS! I created a statement look by adding my yellow jumper dress and my boots to finish the look. You can always use other colours that show in the tights to create a subtle look, but I love the pop of yellow here.

The Review

From The Website: Combining a heritage-inspired tartan with glamorous gold detailing reminiscent of the Gatsby era, these Spirit tights from Selected by Luxury Legs are the perfect finishing touch to any evening outfit. So eye-catching they can be worn with the simplest of outfits to make a statement, or team with bright pops of colour for a truly striking look. They feature a cotton gusset, elasticated waistband and flat seam making them so comfortable to wear from desk to dinner and beyond. Their delicate fabric and flat seam ensures that they are practically invisible under all fabrics.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: these do have a nice amount of stretch to them to do a great scrunch and roll up the legs. Even though you may be tempted to just pull them on – please don’t!

I took care going over my anklets, and then rolled them up the legs before setting in place. I would say take your time just to make sure they look symmetrical as possible – so you don’t have to roll down or pinch and pull it into place.

On The Legs: I am loving how funky these look! They look incredible and I love the design on them. I did notice where it stretched out that the print didn’t look a dense as other areas; it’s something to be aware of in case you think it’s all solid. I love how you get these design from the toes all the way to the top thigh.

The quality of these are incredible; they feel amazing and you can tell they are a quality pair and not cheaply done. These are also pretty hard to snag or even rip, so if you’re always on the go (like me) it’s nice to know that these will be hard to damage!

The fit is true to size, and I would make sure you check out the sizing guide before you purchase. I felt I had enough stretch in these for my legs, however if I went one size up I know these would be slightly big for me and wrinkle around the ankles. These are quite thick and slightly heavy, so you will need to take that into consideration.

The feel of them are amazing; they are so soft and really smooth to touch. I love how the felt on the legs, to the point you couldn’t feel that you were wearing any. This is something new to me as I normally would feel thicker deniers on the legs, but not this time and not in this pair. These don’t irritate the legs either if you do have sensitive skin.

The Toes & Ankle: I don’t think these have reinforced toes to them, however as they are a thicker denier it should be ok for long nails. I will say make sure they are smooth though, as they can end up scratching through. I love how bold and dense they look here; this is where they haven’t been stretched as much, and you really get to see the print properly.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to move, and there was no pressure added around this area.

Around the feet and ankles, I had hardly any wrinkling which I am super impressed with. I did expect some wrinkles around the ankles due to the thickness, but nothing! I am very impressed here!

The Waistband & Gusset: and we are working with a good waistband here. We have a good 2inch thick elasticated band with a reinforced boxer brief underneath. The waistband itself is really comfortable to wear; it has plenty of stretch to it and it sits well on the waist. It doesn’t feel tight or loose in any way during the day.

These tights do have a cotton gusset to them, which sits flush against the skin.

My Thoughts?

I really like this pair, and I think they are brilliant quality. The design is lovey and bold, the fit is amazing and they have a gorgeous luxury feel to them. I would happily recommend this pair!
