Feeling slightly cute today in this outfit. I always find wearing cream or white tights give that whole ‘innocent’ look to any outfit I end up pairing it with. So I took advantage and teamed these babies up with a pinafore dress for work.

I went pretty cute with this outfit, purely because I haven’t worn this faux leather pinafore dress in so long and I wanted to get it back out again to play. I paired it with my chiffon top and added some suede court shoes to finish the look.
Pinafore: New Look
Tights: River Island
Getting Them On: I had a lot of material to play with this morning, so I didn’t feel the need to tug these up the legs to get them on. I did my scrunch and roll up the legs, making sure the pattern lined up well on the legs before setting them in place.
On The Legs: these are so adorable! I am sure they are probably not meat to look like that, but I think they are, even without this whole ensemble. Not only do they have polka dots, they also have the RI logo all around them making them look like designer tights (yes like the Gucci ones). I love these types of styles as you can wear them in so many ways and it never gets boring.
The quality is not as bad as what you may think. I didn’t have high hopes for them, but they did surprise me a little. They lasted very well until I managed to snag them right at the end of my wear! Luckily they aren’t too visible so I managed to get away with it in the end.
The fit of these are true to size, to the point I had a nice amount of material to play with. I didn’t have to tug these on at all. I had even leg coverage with these too. I will say if you are a medium getting this pair, just know that they will stretch out more than what you see on me.
The feel of these are like any other lace-based pair you get; they are soft but slightly grainy to touch. They don’t irritate the legs at all, which is always a good sign. I quite liked them to be honest.
The Toes & Ankle: as you can see below, these come with thicker, visible reinforcement. I had plenty of wiggle room in these that didn’t add any pressure during the day.
Around the feet and ankle, it’s a smooth finish with no wrinkling either.
The Waistband & Gusset: well these come with a good waistband and reinforcement. From the to of the thighs all the way to the band, I have a reinforced boxer brief – simple with no pattern to it.
The waistband itself is really good; it holds up really well and doesn’t slip during my wear. I had enough stretch in these to hug my waist well without it causing any issues under my clothing.
These don’t come with a gusset to them; it’s a simple seam that runs from the front to the back.
If you can still get your hands on these, I would totally recommend them. You can create so many high end fashion looks with this pair, and it won’t go out of fashion either. I loved the style, I like the quality and I would totally wear them again.
