Oh yes I have some Platino back in my life again, and I cannot tell you how excited I am! I d love this brand as they were the FIRST oily shine pair I ever owned!
I got this gorgeous pair gifted to me, and at the moment not many places have this in stock. If you wish to buy a pair, get in touch with me and I will try to source some for you!
Materials: 68% Polyamide, 32% Elastane
Price & Website: No Longer Available
This time I wanted to dress them for work, with a bit of sass added. I wore a cold shoulder ruffle top tucked into a multi-coloured tweed skirt. I added plain suede court shoes to finish off the look!

On The Legs: how gorgeous is that shine people? I feel like you need to see these in person because images and videos won’t do it any justice! They are such a great pair and that shine is just right; it isn’t too bright and it isn’t too toned down – it works perfectly for work and if you decide to wear them casually. You can get some where the shine just blinds you, but these are just the right amount if I say so myself!
The quality of these are amazing; I do love Platino for that reason. I don’t think I have ever had an issue with them before; I have never snagged mine or damaged them, and they fit ever so well.
The fit of these are great; I opted for a size larger as I wanted to make sure I had enough stretch in them and I didn’t need to tug them too much on the legs. I would say there is no harm going one size up in pairs like this; when they have a great oil shine, the last thing you want to do is tug the life out of them and ruin them before you’ve even had a chance to parade around.
The feel is super silky soft, and they have like a satin finish to them. It’s hard to keep your legs crossed in them with that shiny coating they have to them! These certainly don’t irritate the legs at all, and they are great to wear all day long.
The Toes & Ankle: now I know some of you will be happy to know that these do not have reinforced toes, which is a shame. I would prefer for them to have invisible ones rather than none – oh well. These would be great to wear with sandals and open toe heels, if you really wanted to show them off.
There was plenty of wiggle room for the toes to move, and it was a lovely smooth finish on the feet and around the ankles.
The Waistband & Gusset: I don’t have any images of this close up, but as you will see in the packaging video that the waistband is pretty much non-existent. It is what I call band-less, so you don’t get any markings around the waist whilst you’re wearing them. These are great if you are wearing bodycon or tight-fitted clothing or you just find waistbands uncomfortable.
The gusset is a small, palm-sized cotton patch that is placed in the centre.
I gotta say I love them; they fit so well, they look incredible and the quality is always spot on. This is a great pair, however super hard to get hold of!
