Miss O Sheer Gloss Lace Open Crotch Tights

After my last pair have failed me (Miss O Shiny Belt Stockings), I decided to get a pair of plain and simple tights to try out. I was super sad about the stockings as I loved the look of them on the model, but sadly they didn’t work for me – so here is to praying that these will be somewhat better!

My Outfit

I kept it super simple with my outfit today wearing my floral tea dress and plain hosiery. I would normally wear nudes with this dress, however as it’s getting a little cooler, I switched to black instead.

Getting Them On: I took my time getting them on as these are super delicate to handle and the last thing I want to do is cause snags. I saw that these already had a few snag-like damage to them, so I had to be extra careful. I took my time getting them on the legs, taking care going over my anklets. I also found that you don’t need to tug these up the legs as there is plenty of material to cover the legs.

On The Legs: we used a mix of natural light and some with flash on, so we could see what it’s like. I have to admit these aren’t naturally glossy as I expected them to be. They do have a shine to them, but that’s when the flash is right up close to the legs. Otherwise it has a semi-matte finish to them, which I thought was a little odd.

I will say I wasn’t too impressed with the quality of this pair again; they actually felt quite cheap when I got them on. I felt they could be so much better, but I was not liking these at all. These snag super easily, so you have to take extra care being in them. I also found that they have streaks going through them – at first I thought it was me and how I got the on, but I tried to rub them away and they wouldn’t disappear. That really bugs me when that happens; it doesn’t give a smooth flush appearance on the legs.

The fit of these are great on the legs, and you have plenty of stretch so they hug the legs well, however I did have an issue with the waistband. I will explain that a little later down the blog.

The feel of them are alright; they are pretty smooth, a little soft but not my favourite. They don’t irritate the legs, which helps but I didn’t like them to be honest.

The Toes & Ankle: there is no reinforcement around the toes, so you will have to be careful with long/sharp nails in these. I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to breathe, and they didn’t feel cramped in any way. These are a great pair to wear with open toe shoes or sandals in warmer weather.

I also had a smooth fitted finish around the feet and ankles too.

The Waistband & Gusset: as you can see this is a crotchless pair of tights. Around the opening, it is securely knitted so it doesn’t rip or come apart when you’re wearing them. This isn’t a huge opening as what you would expect, as it still covers the tushy completely and the front. I hope you get my drift here.

Now the waistband was a huge issue for me; these have a lace band with silicone inside so it’s supposed to tack onto your skin to keep them in place. I found the band to be too wide for me (I didn’t even need to stretch it out for that to happen) – so note that the waistband runs big. They kept on falling down due to that, which meant I wasn’t lasting long in this pair to be honest. I wish they band was elasticated in a way so this issue wouldn’t arise.

However I will say I do like the lace band; it’s a nice touch, but it’s a shame it didn’t do it’s one job.

My Thoughts?

Well this is another pair that I am not overly impressed with. I felt the quality lacked, the fit was ok but the band was a total flop. I wouldn’t personally recommend them to be honest; I feel they are more hassle than it’s worth in my eyes.
