The Review

From The Website: Luxury opaque tights made using Lycra 3D technology. The original Lycra fibers have a large stretching capacity (up to 600%) and is able to return to its original shape. This feature is further enhanced by the 3D weaving technology in which the fabric is knitted in different directions. Thanks to this the tights are durable, extra flexible, and extremely smooth. Fits very well to the body. Merry Style brand products guarantee style, quality, and comfort. Material of the highest quality go hand in hand with precise and solid workmanship and stylish designs. The Packaging

Getting Them On: okay so they were a little awkward to get on at first. I hate when the design goes skewwhiff, and this kept on doing that so I had to really pinch and pull into place until I got them sitting how I wanted.

I did my scrunch and roll, which was fine until I noticed it wasn’t even. These are also fine going over anklets too.

On The Legs: at first I didn’t think I would suit this pair, but actually they grew on me the more I checked them out in the mirror. I quite like the check design with a mix of black and grey, working into a simple sheer thigh. This is a great play on the whole over the knee socks with tights look – a 2-in-1 is a great way to achieve this with minimal clothing items needed.

The quality of this pair were not the best. I found that these had markings around the thighs on the sheerer parts, and they had a few snags at the back too. If it wasn’t for these, I would have said they were great. These did let me down here as I didn’t expect damage to be on the tights before they were worn.

The fit of these are true to size, and I had a nice amount of stretch on the the legs so there was no gapping. I would recommend checking the sizing guide, as the check part is thicker and not much stretch can be found in this part. There is no harm going one size up if needs be.

The feel of them are soft, and pretty smooth on the legs. The check pattern has more of a jersey-like feel to it, compared to the sheer thighs. These would make them great for Autumn/Winter for sure. These don’t itch the legs either; I thought they might have done, but being in them all day I didn’t have a single irritation.

The Toes & Ankle: so the toes have full coverage, however if you was wearing darker nail varnish I am sure it would peer through slightly. I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes, and no pressure was added either.

Around the feet and ankles, it was a pretty wrinkle-free finish. I expect some wrinkling as the denier is pretty thick around this part.

Before I forget to mention, these do not have reinforced toes to them. However, as the denier is 60, these kinda give the reinforcement!

The Waistband & Gusset: so here we are working with a reinforced boxer brief working towards a reinforced waistband. I wasn’t too keen on the boxer brief part, as I know I wouldn’t be able to wear them with shorts. But I know some people prefer them to be there (for their own reasons).

The waistband is great; it hols up well and it works for my waist. I didn’t find it falling down or rolling over itself at any point during the day. I do like it has reinforcements underneath which I felt was not needed but there you go.

My Thoughts?

So these are not a bad pair, but I don’t see these lasting long if they came with damages to it. It did let me down, which is a huge shame but not much I can do there. I do like the faux layered look they have going on, which is super quirky!
