MarysGift Suspender Basque
This little emerald beauty makes its way onto the blog today. I have had this for some time, which was gifted pre-birthday so I have been dying to get a review done on it. This was kindly gifted by a lovely follower of mine to try out. I hope it doesn’t let me down!

The Packaging
Getting It On: so this piece was slightly hard to get on with the amount of hook and eyes at the back. The easiest way was to close it at the front, twist it around and then set it in place. It sounds like hard work, but honestly I prefer this way as it saves me having to twist my arms behind me and make a mess of it all!
The thong was just a straight glide up the legs and under the suspenders. I obviously had to tuck them under my trousers to complete my outfit here.
The Front & Back: so as you can see, this is a slightly big piece for me. I had to really tuck it in and do all sorts for it to sit flush on me for the images. But honestly, this was slightly too big for me. The feel of it is pretty soft and actually nice to be in; I didn’t feel it irritated me at all.
The quality is not bad; it had a slight luxe feel to it, but it isn’t like Agent Provocateur or anything. This does a job, and does it well enough. The lace isn’t a fabric that irritates the skin and the satin parts are decent too. I do wish this was slightly smaller so I could actually wear this a lot more often!
The Front
As you can see from the images below, the front cups are sheer material, so I had to use covers when wearing this out and about. They are also crescent moon cups (that’s what I like to call them) when it only covers a majority of the front and not full. I do like it though as you can wear heavy necklaces with it to not make it look so bare.
These also have underwiring, just to help the bigger busted people keep their jiggly puffs in place. I do like the satin mixed with lace, however I do not care for that satin line going across it. That really bugs me when companies do this; it is super annoying and doesn’t look nice!
This also has some piping in the front; nothing too tiff but enough to keep the shape of it whilst you’re wearing it.
The Back
As you can see, you have 3 adjustable settings so you can pick which is comfortable to wear. They also have adjustable straps to them, so you can sit this high or low, depending on your preference.
I did have an image of the back, however I realised it came out slightly blurry and it couldn’t be used in the end. I do apologise for that.
The Underwear
For obvious reason, this is not shown. However I will say it sits perfectly on me. I did not have an issue with sizing here. The lace panel goes so well with the basque and that satin waistband really looks incredible. I will say the basque sat over the thong a little on me, but that could vary depending on your size.
The back of the thong is a g-string – enough said 🙂
The Suspender Straps & Clasps: I didn’t actually get to put these in use, but I will say these are a decent pair of clasps on the basque. You have metal clasps on plastic backing, which means this will hold your stockings up very well.
They are also adjustable and you can also remove them from the basque if you wanted. I left mine on underneath my trousers, but you have the option to remove and wear as a basque on its own.
My Thoughts?
Not a bad set to be honest, but the sizing was the biggest issue for me here. If they had a size 6-8, I don’t think I would worry as much. Apart from that, this is not a bad set at all. I absolutely adore that emerald green paired with my metallic cream trousers. I would recommend, however please do check the sizing guide properly before purchasing.
