Oh I cannot tell you how happy I am to be back in Maison Close stockings, after being away from them for SO LONG! I wanted to jazz these up somehow, and I thought it would be great to do a Christmas-type blog with them. These were kindly gifted from my Amazon Wishlist, and you can find all details below.

Feeling a little Christmassy as you can tell – I paired up my skater skirt dress, with some simple black heels, a good pair of stockings and satin gloves to finish the look.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: you best believe I was super careful getting these beauties on the legs. I wore my hosiery gloves to do my scrunch and roll. I took my time to get them on, especially going over my anklets too. As soon as I got past these, it was a soft, smooth glide up the legs.

On The Legs: my oh my! These are such a beautiful pair of stockings, and the fit was just spot on. I love how they look against the red dress, and the gold backseam is just the icing on the cake. They are super delicate, so I had to be extra careful when I was out and about wearing these.

The quality of these are gorgeous! I absolutely love wearing this brand, as they are super luxurious and they always look and feel incredible. Yes they would be easy to snag as they are fully nylon stockings, but I was so happy that I took so much care – I didn’t damage them one bit.

The fit was spot on, however I do feel like a size up would have worked just as well to give it that full retro stocking look. These were super fitted on the legs so at first it was a little hard to move in them, but they did slightly loosen up during the day. I did also find these sat way lower down the legs rather than higher up how I like it.

The feel of them are SO SMOOTH and SO SOFT, I could live in these all day! They were such a pleasant pair to be in, and I loved every second of it. They don’t irritate the legs in any way, especially the lurex backseam.

The Toes & Ankle: as you can see , these have a reinforced toe and heel, with a connecting sole panel working into a cubic heel.These were lovely around the toes, and no pressure was added during my wear. They did slightly loosen up during my wear too.

Around the feet and ankles, it was a lovely smooth finish with no wrinkling.

The Bands: so I made an boo boo – I wore the brand name on the inner thigh instead on the right hand side. I decided not to show it as it looked too silly. But these are branded on one leg (the right leg normally). These are also fully nylon, so they will stretch out during your wear too.

I love the thin reinforcement under the main welt – which is always a nice touch. And the clasps hook on well without them slipping too.

My Thoughts?

I really have no words for this pair, as I love them so much. They feel amazing, they look great and overall I totally recommend getting a pair! These are such a great festive pair, and I will certainly bee wearing these next year too!
