Levante Portofino Tights

Okay so this blog is gonna have some mixed reviews, and that is completely cool with me. I jut wanted to state it before I carried on as I know a lot of people are gonna be thinking WHAT ARE THOSE!

Now this pair is different, as they are made for open toe sandals or shoes and have been around for some time. I reviewed a Wolford pair a few years ago and I remember the mixed reactions I got when they appeared on my Instagram feed. So I expect some commotion …

Now let me get right to it 🙂

The Packaging: I have to say I do like this packaging. It gives you a lot of details about the product at the back and showing the model on the front wearing the pair in a nude colour.

When you get in, you will find these flat folded and wrapped around plain card.

Getting Them On: I will let the video below explain my process…

On The Legs: so let me start off with the colour and how amazing the colour is on the legs. It gives this amazing tan on the legs, and a part of me wishes that it carried on onto the toes as well instead of leaving them all bare looking.

Not only that, as they are such a thin denier, it gives the legs a make-up look to them. This pair would be great for Summer; the barely there look, the added tan, the smoothing effect to the legs, the thin cooling denier and the sandal toes!

The quality of these are great on the legs, minus the incident near my toes. They haven’t snagged or ripped at all and I kept the hairspray handy just in case.

The fit of these are perfect for my leg length, and I had some stretch in them so they hugged the legs well. The feel of them are super smooth and really soft on the legs.

The Toes & Ankle: now let me get right into it by saying YEP THESE ARE OPEN TOE if you needed reminding here.  It does look weird, and I will agree with the majority of you reading this, but this is great for open toe sandals like the ones I am wearing today where you have the toes out and free and then the rest of the legs are covered. The only bad thing is that I would need a pair that is close to my skin tone rather than going darker just so it blends in well;

At the moment, this looks like I have fake tanned my legs and missed my toes on purpose.

Around the toe thong part, this section is reinforced with a thicker denier as you can see below. I know I have this huge rip right near the toes, but there isn’t much I can do about that. This has enough elasticity in it so it doesn’t cramp the bottom of the toes.

Around the feet and ankles, there is plenty of room for the feet to breathe and it’s a lovely fitted finish.

The Waistband: what you see below is what you get. These ended up turning over at the top during the day, but it wasn’t too much of an issue under my dress this time. The band itself is pretty thin with reinforcement underneath before it becomes 8 denier.

It has plenty of elasticity in it to keep these up all day long, and they hug the waist really well too. These sit just a little higher than my belly button. but this is dependent on your height and waistline.

My Thoughts?

I feel these would be great for warmer months, and for those days where you need leg coverage but want to free the toes!

I would certainly recommend these for sure; they’re a great quality pair and have a lot going for them 🙂
