Levante Sierra Tights

Hello Levante… It has been some time since they have made an appearance on the blog. This pair was sent from a follower (in Australia) of mine to review (along with another pair) and I cannot wait to try them out!

I have always had a thing for Levante hosiery; their quality and designs are a favourite of mine – and they’re affordable too!

Getting Them On: now as these are a size up than I normally go for, I had a lot of material to work with. For that reason I didn’t tug these up. I did my usual scrunch and roll and then too a little time to roll them up and making sure that the design stays symmetrical without it twisting. It was a little time-consuming but then I didn’t have to worry about them throughout the day.

These were fine going over anklets too, as long as you take care going over them.

On The Legs: I have to say I do love me some checked style tights; they are brilliant for a smart / smart casual look. I paired mine with my faux leather shorts and a shirt to create an office look. I’m sure if these were a size smaller, they would be looking a little sheerer and stretched out a little more rather than tight boxes as shown. However, I am not complaining as they still look great!

The quality of these are brilliant; they haven’t ripped or snagged easily today, which is always good. However I will say as these have a slightly rough, textured feel to them (slightly like cotton or something similar) these can easily snag if you are not careful. It’s no biggie, but if you are a little careless, it will show on these.

The fit of them are great, even if they are a size bigger. They hugged the legs really well and there was no gapping around the ankles or knees (which is what I half expected). They have plenty of stretch as you can tell in one of the images below.

The feel of them are nice and soft, but they aren’t as smooth as I would have hoped. As I mentioned before, they have this slight rough feel to them, which catches easily if you’re not careful. It’s certainly not a material that irritates the legs at all, but one that I need to mention. I really need to search for the term I am after to describe how they feel to the touch.

The Toes & Ankle: these come with reinforced toes, however I had plenty of stretch around the toes that they acted like double reinforcement here. As you can see below, around the feet it is super dark. All the material started to gather around the feet and ankles at the end of the day, which sucks but hey not much I can do there.

I did have plenty of wiggle room around my toes, and there was no pressure applied either.

The Waistband & Gusset: so not a bad waistband; it is super slim and has plenty of elasticity to it. I thought these would roll down on itself during the day, but it didn’t at all. It stayed up around the waist, and hugged my waist well.

The design finishes at the top of the thigh, before it works into a plain (I think reinforced boxer brief) part, which is shown below.

The gusset on this pair is a small cotton patch, which sits flush against the skin.

My Thoughts?

I have to say I really like this pair. I love the design, however the fit was a slight issue. I would definitely need a small rather than medium for it to look great on the legs. Apart from that, I would happily recommend these!
