The Review

From The Website: Opaque thigh highs with eyelet trim and satin lace up back.

The Packaging: now these come in a small plastic wallet-type packaging with the packaging card inserted inside.

The front shows the model wearing the hosiery and the back goes into slight detail about them. There isn’t much to it to be honest.

When you get in, you will find these folded (no card inserts), un-laced! I cannot tell you how hard my jaw hit the floor when I saw this extra-long ribbon just dangling around!

Getting Them On: Can we please just take a moment to just applaud my lace up on these?! It took me around 1 hour to do both legs due to my long nails and my ability to get annoyed so easily when the lace doesn’t poke through the hole!

These came un-laced and the model wears it all uneven at the back with bigger gapping, and I was not  having that with mine!

I was there for ages, and then realised that the top last few holes don’t line up on either side!  So there goes my patience! I ended up leaving them uneven as I didn’t have it in me to re-lace them both up again!

As these are not really stockings, and not really hold-ups (as they don’t have the silicone band inside) these are practically like over-knee socks to be honest. You can add a suspender belt if you wish, but I left mine quite casual today.

On The Legs: I gotta say they slip down the legs so easily. This is one I will certainly layer with a matte nude pair underneath so it grips a little better. I had to keep pulling these up all the while, and the lace bow didn’t help whatsoever. I tightened it as much as I could without marking myself, and that did nothing at all!

It is slightly ribbed at the top, but don’t let that fool you thinking there is elasticity in these, when there actually isn’t at all. Like I mentioned, I just wore mine at home to lounge in, but I would be thinking twice to wear these out and about if I had them falling down every 5 steps!

The design of them I really do like as from far, they do look like over-knee socks, and I love that look paired with an oversized jumper. The back is just that hint of sexy added let’s be honest 🙂

I am still super proud of my lace-up – I cannot believe how long it took me to do. Just make sure that you have some form of nail, but maybe not as long as mine as you’d never get it done!

The Toes & Ankle: so the toes have a little too much extra material hanging about on the ends. I found this to be on both sides (big toe and little toe), but during the day as you wear them in footwear, it does start to conform to your feet a little.

I don’t these these are reinforced intentionally, but due to the high denier they will be so you should be ok with long nails 🙂

Around the ankle, it normally is a flush finish if it isn’t falling down the legs all the time!

My Thoughts?

I think these could be pulled off so well as over-knee socks, but I would maybe do some DIY and add a silicone band inside or some elastic to stop it from constantly falling down. The design is something that can work with multiple looks, making it look super sexy and feminine.

And the best part is that you can change the lace as well if you didn’t want to stick to red – not saying it comes with extra lace but if you have some lying around then that could be fun!

These look fantastic on your great legs first off. Now the falling down part not for me even though I love the look. If these were silicone backed would be a great improvement wouldn’t have the sliding down. I have a pair of sheer silicone backed one’s I wear when doing fashion photos in a layered look and looks fantastic.

Wow! They look SO RED in contrast with the black opaque and your skin!!!
    We love them!
Maybe not the most practical style, but surely with a little touch of stayup you could make them more wearable. Thanks for your review!
