Now let me tell you about my little bargain find. I was scrolling through eBay when I decided to go on the hunt for Le Bourget. It’s been ages since I have reviewed a pair and I was in the mood to find something unique.
I came across a seller who was selling these for dirt cheap and I would have been so silly if I didn’t bid for them.
I managed to win them for £2.50 – which I was super impressed with. I tried to then find them using Google, and realised this is a pair I can’t locate anywhere. I couldn’t find anything under their name whatsoever.
So there we have a treasure pair!
Size: 1 – Small
Materials: 93% polyamide, 7% elastane
I had some hassle this morning trying to find something to wear these with. I was thinking experimental with colours, then changed my mind. I then though block colouring, then changed my mind. I went to all black, and then changed my mind. So I settled for this simple bodycon dress, paired with platform heels.
I kept my hair up as it was a hair wash day and added small earrings to finish it off.
Tights: Le Bourget
Shoes: New Look
Earrings: part of Dorothy Perkins set
The Packaging: so the seller did state the packaging wasn’t that great when I was purchasing them, and I see what they mean by that. it was a pretty tatty box, but I am just thankful that the tights inside were intact in their plastic wrapping.
The front shows the model wearing them, with the back going into little detail about the company, sizing guide and hosiery care.
When you get in, you will find these flat folded and wrapped around card, which is in French (I believe).
Getting Them On: I gotta say these were stuck together pretty well. It clearly shows how long ago these were bought and never opened. I had to pry them away from each other carefully so I could get my legs into them. I took my time to roll them up over my anklets and up the leg, just in case I somehow cause a snag!
On The Legs: I gotta say this design is just amazeballs. Not only do you have this netted lace intricate work, but you also have horizontal bands going up the legs in sections which is something new. It reminds me of a Pierre Mantoux Vanity Tights I reviewed some time ago.
The quality of these are decent; no snags throughout the day, no rips or any hassle. They had some stretch to them which I was pleased about as I hate it when they don’t and you have to tug them. I fear they would just rip completely!
The fit of them are true to size; and luckily I have reviewed a pair before so I know my sizing quite well in this brand. They sit so well on the legs and hug them very lightly – not meaning that they are loose in any way but just fitted enough so your legs can still breathe.
The feel of them are pretty soft once they are on. To begin with, they felt slightly rough due to the material, but once they’re on it smoothes itself out and you get this lovely finish.
The design I cannot begin to tell you how much I am in love with these. I do hosiery which is unique and is such a statement piece; they just transform your outfit into something completely unique. It’s one which a lot of people wouldn’t go for I know, but styling it for work is the easiest way you can do it!
The Toes & Ankle: around the feet these are great. No pressure, no extra material hanging around, plenty of wiggle room too. These aren’t reinforced and as they are netted, you will need to make sure your nails are smooth and not too long to be creating unnecessary holes.
Around the ankles, these are a lovely smooth finish.
The Waistband: so I have to admit this dig into me a little today. It sat around my belly button and dug in. I didn’t eat a lot (I normally eat like a piggy at work) and I could feel it squeeze me a little, especially sitting down. I normally don’t have issues with bands, but today I felt like these felt a little tight. I did try and stretch them out a few times when I nipped to the ladies, but nothing was making these looser!
I really do love this pair, and the amazing uniqueness it brought to my outfit. I love the quality of them; considering they are a French brand! I would recommend these for sure if you’re into heavy designs like I am!
