Lady Sofia Relax 20 Tights

My loves, we are going out and about today. I am with my loved ones heading into Central London, mainly around Borough Market to explore and get a shoot done at the same time. I did a mix of ones at home in natural light, evening light and also out and about just for the fun of it.

This pair was gifted from my Amazon Wishlist, and all details are below.

My Outfit

I wanted to re-create a look I did a good few years ago, as I finally have a khaki duster back in my life. I paired my simple white bodysuit with shorts, and added a belt. A choker came in once I got the duster jacket on and slipped into my trainers as I was planning to do some serious walking today.

The Review

The Packaging

Getting Them On: if I am honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this pair. I don’t mean to be rude, but my initial thought when I was first getting them on, they felt quite cheap and as I was scrunching down, I didn’t really like the texture of them. I got them on completely fine but I did notice at times that my anklet clasps would get caught in them – this has neve happened to sheers before (mainly netted or lace tights I expect that to happen) – so this was a little worrying. I had to keep adjusting to make sure that it lets it go, so I don’t end up tugging by mistake and end up with a huge rip. It did eventually let go, and it didn’t happen again during the day (thank goodness!)

On The Legs: this is where you will get the mix come into play. I did some that are during the day, some out and about and some in the evening so you can see the contrast and how well they have held up. I have to say they held me down! I expected some rips, or some snags as I was bumped into many times during the day (especially in Borough Market as it was stupidly busy!) – and absolutely nothing. These came back just as great as they went out.

The quality I felt could have been a lot better when I was rolling them on. I liked the fact they stayed damage-free for the whole day, but they didn’t feel the greatest.

The fit was great; there was enough material and stretch in them so I didn’t have to tug them up the legs. Plus I like that they stayed put and there was no gapping behind the knees either. I liked the fit a lot.

The feel of them were quite grainy, and I did find that it irritated my legs from time to time during the day. They did feel quite soft to touch on the outer part, but this is a pair I didn’t feel I could wear again for a whole day.

The Toes & Ankle: these come with reinforced toes, which are a thicker denier as shown below. They cover the toes very well, and stay put during the day too. I felt no pressure was added during my wear, and I had plenty of wiggle room in them too.

Around the feet and ankles, it’s a lovely smooth finish with no wrinkling.

The Waistband & Gusset: this is another sign that these are cheaply done – they have that grainy reinforcement that sits under the waistband, and there is that part of the seam that sticks out at the top of the band too. The waistband itself is a decent one, however I couldn’t fully test if it does shimmy down as the bodysuit held it in place. I did find that these sat nicely on my waist, and didn’t squeeze me at any point.

My Thoughts?

Overall not a bad pair at all. I felt they did me well for my day out, with no snags or rips! I do feel they won’t last as long as other pairs I have reviewed previously, but this is not as bad if of you are after a cheap and cheerful pair.
