Day 28 of my holdups of the day series brings us a lace-topped classic with just the right amount of texture and edge – the Hiquacc Lace Holdups, sourced straight from my Amazon Wishlist.

While Hiquacc isn’t a heritage fashion house like some of the big European hosiery brands, pairs like these shine when they strike that balance between classic simplicity and decorative flourishes – perfect if you want something versatile that can work with both casual dresses and smarter evening looks.

I love creating pink and white combos – they are so much fun and such a statement look. I went with my pink satin shirt, paired with a white lace skirt and adding in my white slingbacks to finish the look!

The Packaging

Getting Them On: I made sure that I had my hosiery gloves on this morning, to avoid any snags or damage whilst getting them on.

I did have a fair amount of stretch in them, so I could sit them higher up the legs. These were also fine going over anklets.

On The Legs: this pink is fierce – and I love it! It’s such a beautiful deep colour, and it hits for sure.

The quality of these are decent; I thought they wouldn’t be the greatest, but these surprised me. You can tell these are cheaply made, but I like that they don’t snag easily.

The fit of these work for me being a one size. I will say I had a good amount of material to them so it would work for people with longer legs, but the bands is where it stops for me. The bands were not made for every size – but I’ll speak about this further down.

The feel of these are so so so so soft, and really smooth to touch! I absolutely love being in these – they have been so good to me all day.

The Toes & Ankle: as you can see below, these come with reinforced toes, which are a slightly thicker denier These cover the toes pretty well.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to breathe, and no pressure was added during my wear either.

Around the feet and ankles, I had a smooth fitted finish with no wrinkling around the ankles.

The Bands: as lovely as these bands look, they have been such a let down in my eyes They come with 2 silicone bands, which don’t hold up too well. They did to begin with, and as the day went on, they started prising away from my skin.

Not only that, these really squeezed my thighs, which is why I state they aren’t for all sizes. I wouldn’t consider my thighs to be that big, but for anyone who is larger than me would struggle with these for sure.

The lace design is really pretty, and I love the overall look of these holdups, but the bands could have been a lot better.

My Thoughts?

These are such a beautiful colour and I love the way they look on the legs. The quality wasn’t too bad either, which was a nice surprise. However the fit and the bands let me down here – I just wish they weren’t one size fits all!
