Day 25 of my holdups of the day series brings a classic sheer pair from G&Y – another Amazon Wishlist pick that blends simple elegance with everyday wearability.
While G&Y isn’t quite a heritage hosiery house like some other brands you’ve featured, their hold-ups tick the boxes for style and everyday wear – with a delicate lace finish that elevates them above basic sheer styles. In this pair, the classic lace top frames the leg beautifully, making them a versatile pick whether you’re pairing them with something subtle for daywear or something bolder for evening.

The Packaging
Getting Them On: gloves are on to get these babies rolled up and set. I did do my scrunch and roll, taking care going over my anklets before setting them in place.
I did have a fair amount of stretch in them, so I could sit them higher.
On The Legs: so this is just a simple ‘Nude’ shade I am working with today, and it’s not a bad shade at all. It is a tad bit light for me, but it works well with my dress and heels, so I don’t mind it too much.
The quality of these are really nice; I did manage to snag them (of course!) and luckily my dress could hide that really well. I do like their durability overall, as it just ended up being the one snag for the whole day.
The fit of these are true to size, and I had plenty of stretch in them, so I could sit them wherever I wanted on the legs. I would have gone for Small if they had it available, however Medium is the lowest they go.
If you are in-between sizes, I would advise going a size up just you have a little extra material to play with.
The feel of these are really soft, and super smooth to touch too. I had no problems with irritation either; they have been perfect for the whole day.
The Toes & Ankle: these don’t come with any reinforcement, which is a shame. However I like that you can easily wear these with open toes like I did. I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to breathe, and no pressure was added during my wear either.
Around the feet and ankles, I had a smooth finish overall with no wrinkling.
The Bands: it’s funny how I have such a deep lace band, and I only have 2 silicone strips at the top to hold them in place. I do love this as it really gets me wanting to test them to see if they can hold up all day with no issues – they did just that!
I had plenty of stretch in these bands, so I had no issues with any thigh squeezes.
The design is quite feminine, which I really like as it works so well with my dress. But something to note for those who would like something a little more versatile.
My Thoughts?
These are a great pair of holdups I gotta say. I love the deep welts on them, which you can sit anywhere, I love how they felt on the legs and overall I think they have been brilliant.
