Golden Legs Seamed Stockings

Slipping back into stockings once again, but this time into another brand I haven’t come across before. I wanted to see what they would be like as I picked them up for a cheap price.

I had bought these end of last year from eBay, so unfortunately I don’t have any information to give regarding where to purchase these. And in regards to background on the brand, I couldn’t find anything when I was Googling away!

The Review

The Packaging: so pretty basic on the front and back. There isn’t much they are giving away in terms of what the brand is about, the pair inside etc. There is a large window at the front of the packaging to show the pair inside.

When you get in, you will find these wrapped with card inserted into one of the legs. These come flat folded, with the seam looking a little bent when you straighten the toe seams. I am hoping I don’t have an issue when I roll these on.

Getting Them On:

On The Legs: the quality of these are not bad. I was a little sceptical at first as they looked a little cheap and didn’t feel that great to touch, but as soon as I got them on, they weren’t so bad in the end. I had plenty of stretch in these as they are a one-size pair, so they hugged the legs well all round. I will say I did not get any snags in these today, which if I am honest I am surprised by. I half expected to…

The fit of them are great; I felt I had enough stretch in them to get decent coverage without having the ombre effect occurring. The feel of them are alright; they are a little rough to touch and feel super grainy on the legs. This pair would easily rub against skirts and dresses rather than letting them flow against the legs.

The denier being around 20 is great if you want sheerness but still good coverage on the legs, so not too much skin is on show. I feel that worked well against the thicker denier backseam.

The Toes & Ankle: so I went a little OTT with the foot pics here, but I gotta say I really did like them. They have the reinforced toe which covers the toes well, front and back. The seam starts right where the reinforcement ends.

I had plenty of wiggle room in these, and there was no pressure added either onto the toes during the day. The feet and ankles had a fitted smooth finish to them, so you shouldn’t find any wrinkles.

The Bands: these are pretty slim compared to the bands you normally get on 100% nylon stockings. I did quite like that change though; something a little different. My clasps gripped on well to these and stayed put all day.

The band are super stretchy, so it shouldn’t ever give you a muffin top or feel like it’s squeezing you whilst you’re in them.

My Thoughts?

Not a bad pair I have to say. The quality is ok; you can tell by the images these are a rough matte finish on the legs which means you will need to take extra care not to damage them during your wear. Otherwise I quite like them; a cheaper alternative to vintage stockings which are higher priced.
