Gio RHT Stockings (Full Contrast) Perfects

And Merry Christmas to you beautiful lot!

I have had these sitting in my wardrobe untouched, and I thought the perfect time to pull them out would be for Christmas Day!

I gotta say I had no clue what to wear these with for ages, hence why they were never reviewed earlier in the year. But I am so glad I held onto them so I can review them for you all now 🙂

If you haven’t seen my Gio reviews previously, then hit the links below (opens in a new tab):

The Review

From The Website: Rare! At last, the full contrast version of the classic Gio RHT with a contrast toe, heel and top. They’re made on vintage machines from the 1950s from the same legendary 100% nylon non-stretch yarn as the classic Gio fully fashioned stockings. As the name suggests, reinforced heel and toe (RHT) stockings have distinctive reinforced heel and toe, but are made in a circular way and therefore don’t have a seam at the back. They’re the authentic modern recreation of a vintage classic!

Rare full contrast RHT non-stretch 100% nylon stockings
Denier: 15 – sheer, 15 – sheer
Yarn: 100% nylon
Brand nationality: United Kingdom

The Packaging: so if you haven’t seen Gio before, their packaging does look quite vintage; all monochrome which I love! The front shows the model wearing a pair, and you can see the colour through the window at the top. The back only goes into slight detail really.

When you get in, you will find these horizontally folded so you get the foot and leg shaping to the hosiery, which is wrapped around card and tissue paper.

Getting Them On: so using hosiery gloves (I got my silky set on today) I slowly rolled these up the legs, taking care of my anklets as well. These were easy enough to do as they;re so silky soft pulling them up the legs. I sat mine where they’re supposed to sit rather than tugging them more up (I tend to do this when I wear shorter dresses and skirts)

On The Legs: I am loving this colour! It’s so bright and so bold! As I’m just in chill gear showing this off, it just works so well and looks amazeballs!

The denier is low enough for you to still get your skin shade coming through to help the colour pop out (if you’re slightly darker this can vary). I love the way they look on the legs right now! Proper fierce!

The quality of these are amazeballs; no issues at all wearing these all day long at all. They are super delicate so I would recommend you to take care when you’re in them, but otherwise these have been a dream!

The fit and feel is just right for my size; you will need to check this before buying to make sure you get a size that fits you properly. There is no stretch to these at all, so you get all the wrinkles around the knee and ankles from time to time. The feel of them is to die for; they are super silky smooth and it’s so easy for your legs to glide off one another!

The contrasting band and RHT screams power in my eyes. I love how the black really stands out against the red; it makes it more professional / seductive. I don’t really know the term, but it’s damn classy for sure!

The Toes & Ankle: as you can see, these are RHT (reinforced toes and heels) so you will get the black patched here which really does pop out if you’re wearing open toes or open back shoes. I had no issues at all around the feet; plenty of room to wiggle and breathe.

Around the ankles I did get some slight crinkling, but nothing too major. If I was to go for a bigger size, I certainly would have but not in a good way (meaning it will look like they are too big for me!)

The Bands: don’t they look so dreamy?! They’re sheer too, but still are bold enough to make that statement. These are a lovely satin feel and worked well with my plastic clasps. I normally do metal which I have no issues with, but as my belt is red to match the attire, I went with plastic and they held up completely fine.

These fit my thighs so well; they looked tight before I got them on but these stretch out without you noticing so by the end of the day they will be the size of your thigh next time you get them on 🙂

My Thoughts?

I am so glad I got a pair of coloured RHT; I have done them in black and nude before, but it’s always been a mission to get a colour on the legs. And I am so glad I opted for red. I gotta admit it was hard at first, but it was so much fun to be in once I got them on to review. I do love the way these look on the legs, and how gorgeous the quality of them too!

  1. Absolutely magnificent legs love the color of these. Myself I tend to go for the stay up type and would go for the glossy pantyhose with glossy stay ups over for that layered look. Seen them worn this way online and think WOW I love this fashion look.
