Now this pair is a little special; these came all the way from France – and it’s special because I love this country. I do love a Gerbe pair, and I have done a great mix of tights and stockings in the past.
If you missed my previous Gerbe reviews, you can catch some of them below (opens in a new tab):
Materials: 92% Polyamide, 8% Elastane

As it is starting to get cooler, I think I need to start switching up my wardrobe to cater for Autumn/Winter. I paired my jumper with my ribbed knitted skirt and I added my mules to keep it smart casual rather than super formal.
Heels: River Island

Transparent matte garter stockings in 15 denier look. Sophisticated transparency… A cheeky garter stockings for everyday wear without frills, simple and elegant. The sensual detail: intoxicating and glamorous floral lace.

Getting Them On: I can never stress enough how important it is to take care with finer deniers, especially when they are luxe pairs. I made sure I got my hosiery gloves on to get these holdups on this morning. I did my scrunch and roll, taking care going over my anklets so I don’t damage them before the day starts.
On The Legs: a simple yet classy pair. I love how they look, especially with that beautiful welt.
The quality was not what I expected with this pair – which is a shame. I love Gerbe because their pairs have such a high standard when it comes to quality.
I have to say I am slightly disappointed in this pair. I am hoping you all can see those lines and weird markings on the bottom of the legs. I thought it was because I might have stretched them a little, but it wasn’t the case as I popped my arm through the left leg before I got it on – and saw that it has unusual rings and lines on it. I expected more from this pair, as normally Gerbe are fantastic and I love their quality.
The fit was really nice. I did have some stretch in them to sit them a little further up the thigh, instead of sitting them super slow. There was no gapping around the knees or ankles. I would advise going a size up if you’re in-between sizing or if you prefer a comfier fit with a little more stretch.
The feel of them are not as soft as they look; they so feel quite rough and grainy, which is such a shame. They felt soft when I got them out the packaging, but when I scrunched and rolled up I felt a difference. These don’t irritate the legs luckily, but I was disappointed with the outcome when they were set in place on the legs.
The Toes & Ankle: and to add to my disappointment, I saw that the reinforced toe didn’t have the seam finished. I was left with this half seam in the middle and that was it. I have no idea what is going on with this pair, but I am not happy at all. They clearly missed the quality check here.
I did have enough wiggle room for my toes to breathe and move, and there was no pressure added either. I am just upset that I was left with an unfinished seam.
Around the feet and ankles, I had a smooth finish with no wrinkling.
The Bands: this doesn’t get any better let me tell you. I also had unfinished stitching under the welt, and then some holes in the silicone bands. I have never seen that before in my life, and the amount of holdups I have worn!
Luckily these didn’t affect how they held up during the day, but I was very annoyed. I even saw parts that were stuck together that I could not pry apart otherwise I would end up damaging it further.
The only part I truly like is this lovely design on the welt – which is something I haven’t seen before.
This pair sadly let me down, and I can’t even say I want to recommend them to you all. I cannot believe how many issues I encountered, which were not minor either.
