Gerbe Fascination 15 Stockings

It’s Christmas Eve, and as I’m not doing a blog tomorrow, class this as the Christmas one!

I decided to go a little glam, because why not?! I haven’t done so in a little while, and this year I decided to treat you all (and myself). The holdups were gifted from my Amazon Wishlist, and I thought this would be the perfect blog to show them off.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: slow and steady… because Gerbe are too good to wreck! I got the hosiery gloves out and started scrunching. I took my time going over my toes and anklets, before I rolled the up the legs and set them in place on the thighs.

On The Legs: I haven’t done a white pair in some time, so I am pretty excited about these. I love a white sheer pair from time to time, as it adds this innocent elegance to an outfit (maybe not this one though). I believe white can be worn with many outfits and not be limited to bridal wear.

The quality of the Gerbe pair is pretty great; I managed to last in these all day without any hiccups. I didn’t snag, rip or ladder them considering I have been a little clumsy in them. I do like Gerbe as their quality is really nice; they never feel or look cheap.

The fit of these are perfect for my leg length and width. I got even coverage on the legs without having to tug or pinch up the legs. If you are in doubt, head one size up and make sure you check the sizing guide beforehand too.

The feel of these are lovely and soft, with a smooth finish that makes the dress glide right across them. They have a beautiful feel with no irritation to the skin.

The Toes & Ankle: you will see in some images that the toe seam does come down the side of the big toe as the reinforcement isn’t that straight across the toes. It tends to curve round, which I don’t mind as long as my toes are covered.

I had limited wiggle room for my toes in these, which is a shame but there was not much room in these and adding pointed shoes did not help. Luckily no pressure was added when wearing these!

Around the feet and ankles, it was a smooth fitted finish, with no wrinkling.

The Bands: well what can I say about these welts? Apart from that they’re beautiful and compliment the rest of the holdups well. They do seem bridal I know, however I love them with this dress. They are a lovely thick lace, which I can’t see being damaged unless mistreated badly. What I do like is that they resemble a deep lace welt; I have had thicker, but these are between a normal and a thick welt – I really like it.

These come with a double silicone band located at the top of the lace welt too, which keeps them in place all day and all night long. I had no issues with the tackiness of the silicone bands.

Another point I want to mention is that the seam for the welt is located at the back inside of the inner thigh. I prefer the inner thigh as it keeps it hidden away and doesn’t poke through clothing. I did find when I tried this pair on with a bodycon dress; it showed through at the back. Something to note if you choose to wear bodycon clothing with seams located at the back.

My Thoughts?

Overall I love this pair. I love the look, and that welt is to die for. It worked well with my outfit, even though it’s not something I would normally go for. I have to say I love the quality of Gerbe too. So yep, I happily recommend!
