Gosh it has been like a year since I have had these sitting there for some time now too. I was waiting for the right opportunity to get into them and trial out all these different colours.
Now before I carry on, this is going to be the main blog on the Gatta Microfibre and the rest throughout the month is mainly about the colour and what I paired them up with. There will be some that I do just so you see what they look like on the legs rather than with an outfit just to vary it a little. And just to give you a little feel in terms of lighting, I will be using a mix of flash and natural lighting so you can see the difference (if any).
The only extra thing I will be adding to each blog is if I come across something that wasn’t stated in this or if there is a quality issue etc.
So on each blog, I will be adding this post to them just so you can refer back to the in depth-detail 🙂

My Outfit
For some reason I dressed like Christmas is tomorrow lol! I went with my black long sleeve bodysuit with my foil skirt (which I found out everyone loves!) and added my suede peep toe sandals to finish off the look.
I added gold-ish (they’re now fading) earrings and left my hair all bedhead to keep it that slightly dressy but trying to keep it casual. I have no idea what was going through my head when dressing myself this morning!

The Packaging: so as these are from previous seasons, it has that half drawn woman working into into model’s legs. I love it when they do that – Don’t ask me why as I don’t know myself but I find it looks pretty cool and you don’t see this on other packaging.
So the back goes into more detail about sizing, hosiery care and the following in various languages:
“Tights for ladies, made of micro-fibre, opaque, matt, without marked knickers’ part”
When you get inside, you will find these wrapped around card to keep them intact ready to get on. These are flat folded, so there is no right or wrong way to get these on. Just remember if you get these in a larger size, the gusset will be slightly different.
I’m already liking these!
Getting Them On: so as these are ultra-soft; I cannot explain to you how soft and sumptuous they are! I used my scrunch and roll technique with my satin hosiery gloves making sure I take my time over anklets and rolling up the leg. I have to say you don’t need to stretch these over the legs much at all; they literally are true to size!
On The Legs: I cannot begin to tell you how soft they are on the legs. This actually has got to be one of my favourite collections; I love the way they are smooth inside and out, just caressing your legs!
they’re super soft like a baby’s first bear
They fit so well too; so true to size I must say 🙂 They hug the legs real nice and stay that way for the whole day too. I thought they might be slightly snug on the legs, but these have a nice bit of stretch in them so you get that great cling to the legs. This is important, especially working with colours as you want it to work with your legs and not against them; basically looking chubby in places you need to look slim. I think that’s why I’m scared to do colours sometimes unless they’re sheer as they can look odd on my legs and make them look bigger than they are at times.
The Denier & Colour: so I thought I would write a little section about the denier and colour seeing as this is gonna be the main blog you’re all gonna come back to 🙂
So the denier is 40 – which is perfect for some semi-opaque coverage on the legs. Now depending on what you’re legs are like (mine are slim then go chunky the higher they go) you may end up with a solid colour, an ombre effect or just sheerness! So my legs normally give me the ombre effect with deniers like this, so I had a nice opaque-like coverage on the bottom and it starts going lighter around the thighs. I thought this denier is perfect for those who dislike opaques in winter, so it works pretty well really!
The colour is something spicy; marsala and a new one I haven’t come across before. This is such a beautiful colour and perfect for winter I say! It gives a right pop on the legs which I love – I hate doing darks all the time as you just blend in with the darker months! I was going to do black for this blog, but decided against it and thought colour would be so much better. Plus a lot of you say I don’t do enough colour… So here you go 🙂
The Toes & Ankles: plenty of wiggle room and space for them to move freely during the day. They are super soft around the toes too, so please do be careful with sharp or long nails as I can see these ripping quite easily if you don’t take care.
Around the ankles, these have a lovely soft and smooth finish. You won’t find any wrinkles occurring either during the day.
The Waistband: so the waistband did me good today. Not only is it really soft yet hugs so well during the day, these hardly leave any marks around the waist. Sometimes you can get those band marks where it has dug in during the day, but you won’t with these.
They have a sheer boxer brief to them, so the top half is reinforced which is great. It’s not too noticeable as I had to use flash to show you properly.
Now the only thing I would look out for in other pairs is that they managed to stretch around the waist near the seams, so you start to see it slowly pull away which I was pretty stunned with. That has never happened before so I was freaking out a bit when I saw this. I’m not too sure if this would happen to other pairs in the collection, but it certainly happened to me today!
My Thoughts?
Overall I think these are to die for! I love the way they look on the legs, and that colour is just stunning. In terms of quality, these are decent and I think they are worth it for what you pay. The only thing that did get to me was the waistband seam, but I won’t let that bother me too much until I try on the rest of them.
