Gabriella Veronic Tights

Yep back into opaques we go again, getting ready for Winter (the UK decided to skip Autumn!) I hate how the weather changes so quickly you don’t know which wardrobe to work with!

So microfibres are a good pair of hosiery to keep in your collection (these are are); not only are they comfortable, they work well on the legs keeping them warm when it’s a bit chilly outside.

My Outfit

I actually forgot how to style opaque after being in constant sheers throughout Summer! But I suppose I now have the chance to start pulling out the darker tones!

So I wore my black t-shirt with my stone suede skirt and added my suede slingback heels. I just kept it minimal today due to meetings, and left the hair all wild!

The Packaging: the front shows the model wearing the hosiery along with the brand and make of the hosiery. I actually thought that the design was sewn in in the colour nude, but actually it’s a cut-out design!

The back goes into a little more detail about them:

“Exclusive, patterned, microfibre tights produced in Lycra 3D technology. Cotton gusset, flat seams. Invisibly reinforced.”

Once you get in, these are flat packed, wrapped around card. As the design is only on one side of the leg (the left side), it’s upto you how you choose to wear it.

Getting Them On: I didn’t do my normal technique today but decided to just pull them up the legs instead to see how they glide up. I have to say they did well once I managed to get them over the anklet without snagging them. I purposely didn’t look down whilst I did this as I wanted to see where the design would sit, and I was impressed when I saw that it sat where I basically wanted it to. You can always tweak it slightly but just know that it won’t move much unless you wear the toe seams slightly bent.

On The Legs: I gotta say these are comfy and got my legs super hot during the day!

The denier is 50 however I feel it acts like it’s 70-100 to be honest; they kept the legs so warm which is a good thing, but I was dying by the end of the day. However you can tell it’s 50 due to the sheerness where it stretches on the legs.

The quality of them are great; no snags, no runs or rips which is a bonus woop!

The fit and feel of them; the fit is great and does manage to cover bumps and gaps wherever it can but there is slight gapping here and there when your legs is straight. The feel of them are so smooth and soft, but be mindful that these will catch dust like there is no tomorrow. As I took my shots on the bed, I gathered all the little particles all over my legs which was not attractive!

The design I thought would be quite faint, but depending on your skin tone, it really does stand out on the legs. It’s a simple dainty design working from the ankle to mid-calf on one side of the leg.

The Toes & Ankle: so the toes have a weird design on the front and back of them; I take it that’s what they mean when they say reinforced although I thought it was supposed to be invisible??

Anyways there is plenty of wiggle room in these and plenty of room for the feet to breathe too.

Now around the ankles is where I has some issues; those damn creases sitting at the ankles! I get that it’s a thicker denier but OH MY GOODNESS! It really grated me as i was in slingbacks so you could see the wrinkles sitting there the whole day!

The Waistband & Gusset: a good waistband I must say. It’s a weird texture; one that I haven’t seen before, but it’s comfortable, it doesn’t dig in and it holds up so well. Not only that, it doesn’t roll over itself so you have a nice flush finish under your clothing.

My Thoughts?

For what you get it’s decent I got to say. I’m not a massive fan of opaques compared to sheers and patterns, but this is one for those who like to keep it simple and sweet on the legs.

A bonus point is that you know these will help to keep your legs nice and warm in winter (although I don’t know how it would be around 0 degrees and below!)

  1. Nice tights just not for me the creases I wouldn’t care for. The toe area don’t care much for the look the design have seen better only plus I can see would be warm for colder days. Sorry I don’t do negative comments but these I wouldn’t buy. Am a opaque fan but love the glossy glitter look most of all.
