Day 17 of my holdups of the day series brings us an elegant, feminine pair from Gabriella – the Vera Lace Top Holdups – and yes, these are another pair I chose from my Amazon Wishlist.

Gabriella is a Polish hosiery brand that’s grown into one of Europe’s most popular and accessible names for sheer tights, patterned styles and hold-ups that offer quality looks at great prices. Their range includes everything from classic sheer designs to lace-detailed hold-ups that add a delicate, romantic finish to your outfit. This brand is beloved for its elegant silhouettes and reliably comfortable fits, making it a go-to if you want a balance of style and everyday wearability.

The Vera hold-ups feature a sheer leg and a lace top that feels both classic and decorative, accented with a soft silicone grip inside the band to help them stay put without digging in. According to retailer descriptions, many Gabriella Vera styles also include a floral-inspired pattern running up the back of the leg, adding a hint of vintage flair – perfect if you’re after something that feels a bit more romantic or special than plain sheers.

I have promoted this pair before, many years ago, and now I am back reviewing them but with the floral backseam at the front to give my outfit a little something.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: hosiery gloves on once again, and on they pop. These were super easy to roll on this morning; I did my scrunch and roll, taking care going over my anklets. I set them in place pretty high up the thigh and voila.

I decided to put the design at the front instead of the back, just to see what it would look like. As much as they look fantastic from behind, I think they hit just as good at the front.

On The Legs: I love this floral design. It looks like it’s climbing up the leg, creating this statement piece in the centre. I actually quite like it and would definitely wear them at the front again.

The quality of this pair is lovely, until I managed to get some snags. Then I found a small hole in-between the floral design, which I wasn’t too pleased with as I have no idea how that happened.

The fit of them are true to size. I wasn’t too sure if this would be a bit too small for me, but honestly they fit me perfectly well. I could stretch them so they sit way higher up the legs too.
If you’re in-between sizes, I would advise going a size up so it allows a little more room.

The feel of them are lovely; they are super soft, they glide on the legs well and they are gorgeous to wear all day. These don’t irritate the skin in any way either.

The Toes & Ankle: I believe these don’t have reinforced toes to them, so keep those toenails smooth and not too long.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes, and no pressure was added around the toes either. Around the feet and ankles, I had a lovely fitted finish.

The Bands: so the bands on these are lovely! I know these are front to back; usually the seams sit at the back or the sides, but I wasn’t too fussed that they were sitting at the front. I do like the floral finish on the bands too, which bring it altogether nicely.

My Thoughts?

Yep I am loving these! I think they work so well being at the front, and I would definitely do it again. The quality was so so, but apart from that, they are a lovely pair that I would definitely recommend.
