Fogal ‘Art Print’ 136 Tights

I have another wonderful pair of Fogal to review, which technically I should have done a few months back for St Patrick’s Day (the print would have been perfect).

Now this pair I am questioning a little as I feel these aren’t a true Fogal pair. You’ll see what I mean when you scroll further down the blog…

My Outfit

How do I pair up a funky pair? Play it safe the 1st time and go with white and add some tan! I wasn’t too sure what to wear with this as I have only ever done this pattern once before, so it’s still pretty new to me.

The Review

The Packaging: another retro-looking package for this pair, which I really like. It is pretty basic on the front, but when you flip over you will see a medium-sized window to show you the pair inside, along with some information about the pair inside.

When you get in, you will find these flat folded and wrapped around plain card.

Now what made me question if they are Fogal or not is that these do not have the brand name around the band and the shape of the waist and hips do not look like Fogal. I even tried to Google to see if this is the right pair as I was so unsure. As I couldn’t find anything, I just had to think these were the pair and roll with it.

Getting Them On: I did my scrunch and roll up the legs and I had to take care doing so as these are super thin. They look quite thick like 20 denier, but actually they are more like 8-10 denier. I took care going over my anklets and then rolled up the legs.

On The Legs: pretty cool design right? I think so too, especially as these are supposed to have a tinge of green to them with the tartan print, but that becomes super faint when it’s on the skin. I suppose your skin tone will have a huge part to play in this; being lighter or darker can change how these shade when they’re on. I do quite like this pattern and with the lurex sewn into it, it adds that little sparkle, which is beautiful when it catches the light. I dressed mine for the office, but if you would wear tartan more, I’m sure you would be able to pair it with casual outfits including shorts.

The quality of these are pretty nice, however with the lurex it can keep a little itchy against the skin. It wasn’t so bad with me as I creamed my legs beforehand, but if your legs are dry, you may want to put on a base layer before you get these on. I didn’t snag or damage these in any way which I am super happy about! Although I would like to have seen what would happen if they did get damaged.

The fit of these are true to size, and there is enough stretch in them for your size. There is no way these would be able to fit a medium. They did hug the legs nicely as well.

The feel of them are a little soft but you will feel rough parts due to the lurex. It isn’t bad or anything, but if we are being critical you will feel it when you run your hands over your legs. Apart from that, they don’t feel bad at all.

The Toes & Ankle: I am super surprised but so happy these have reinforced toes to them. You will see a darker green strip going across the toes, front and back, and ends where the toes end. I had plenty of wiggle room in these to move my toes and no pressure was added either.

Around the feet and ankles, they fit real nice and there were no wrinkles in sight.

The Waistband & Gusset: well even if this is a Fogal band or not, I do like it. It’s super soft and super comfortable to wear all day long. I had a nice amount of stretch in these to the point they hug the waist without squeezing it when you’ve eaten too much.

This sits around the belly button on me and stays put all day. The gusset is palm-sized and sits flush against the skin so you won’t have to worry about wearing underwear!

My Thoughts?

Overall I think these are a pretty cool pair, whether they are Fogal or not. I do like how they looked on the legs and the pattern is super cool. I would certainly recommend these if you can ever get your hands on a pair!
