Fiore Fit-Control 40 Tights

Let me bring some control tights onto the blog today. This has a semi control top to them which I haven’t worn for a little while, so this will be pretty good to see how these go.

Now this review will be pretty awesome, as this is the 2nd time I am wearing these for a full day. The first time I forgot to do a shoot in them, and I had lasted over 14 hours wearing them too. They lasted me very well for the day, with no snags at all! Now I am intrigued to see how I get on with them today…

Last time I wore a jumper tucked into a leather skirt and wore my converses all day.

This time I am going a little more feminine, pairing up a ribbed bodysuit with my floral skirt and adding my suede court shoes to finish the look.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: these were pretty easy to get on. I did my usual scrunch and roll, and worked my way up the legs. You will feel it tighten slightly around the thighs and upwards; it’s all good as this is where the control top part will be working its magic.

I also had no issues with my anklets either as they glided smoothly over them.

On The Legs: I have to say both times I have worn this pair, they have been amazing. I really like the denier on these as they are a brilliant cross between sheer and opaque. It gives enough leg coverage without looking too dark on the legs.

The quality of this pair is great; I hardly snagged these both times I was in them. It was until the end of the day the 2nd time that I managed to get a small snag in them. Apart from that, they held out really well and I am impressed.
I will mention here that I found at the top of the thighs weird markings. This is where the material is a little rough and it isn’t a smooth finish (top row, 3rd image). I did spot this in my 1st wear, and it became more prominent in my 2nd wear.

The fit of these were great. I thought they might be a little small, however I didn’t have to tug them up the legs much and they sat well on me all day. They had plenty of stretch in them to give good even coverage from toe to bands, and there was no gapping.

The feel of these are super smooth on the legs, as you can tell below. They feel great inside and out, and they don’t irritate the skin either. These would also make a great pair to layer with too!

The Toes & Ankle: I believe these have a slight reinforced toes to them. I decided to show you close up what they look like around the toes, as you can see the stitching varies from the toe seam to under the toes before it becomes horizontal.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to move and breathe during the day, and no pressure was added around this area either.

Around the feet and ankles, it has been a beautiful, smooth fitted finish with no wrinkles.

The Waistband & Gusset: now this is where the control top is located. We are working with a slim waistband and a nice chunk of material to help slim the waist.

The waistband itself is great; it doesn’t roll down during the day or whilst you move and there is plenty of elasticity in it to hug the waist well.

The control top I felt is pretty light; it isn’t something that you can feel squeezing your wait during the day.

“Does it actually help slim the waist?“
To be honest, I didn’t feel like it made much difference on me. I based it on the fact I had eaten a lot today and my belly was poking out a little, which I felt it might have worked a little. But other than that, I feel it gives that illusion that it does. I know a lot of people will say that I don’t need it, however I have tried so many different ones and you can see the difference. With this pair, I don’t see much difference.

I will say I do like the thick band; it kept me comfortable and it does help in colder weather as it keeps you warm during the day too!

My Thoughts?

Not a bad pair at all; I love the whole piece and they last very well. The only thing that I wasn’t too sure on was the control top part – it did very little for me. But no biggie as I would still recommend these for you to try if you do like control top tights.
