Falke Pure Matt 50 Lace Top Stay Ups

Yep I am back in Falke, and this time I am trying out their opaque matt holdups. It is a pretty cold day today, and as much as I wanted to layer a little, I really wanted to show these off so I went with a skirt instead of trousers today.

My Outfit

I went super monochrome today; black on black. This is one of my favourites and I try not to do it often. I paired my mesh sleeve top paired with my faux leather skirt and added patent heels with a nude trim to add some colour.

The Packaging

Getting Them On: I did my usual scrunch and roll up the legs, and set them in place on the upper thigh. I had plenty of material to do so, as these were one size up for me so I didn’t have to tug at them.

These were fine to go over anklets as long as you take your time going over them.

And yes I know you will see some thread hanging out there; I will be touching upon that further down.

On The Legs: now let the fun begin. I love a pair of good holdups, and Falke never let me down here. I like that these are a lovely opaque that isn’t too dark, and is a pair you could potentially wear during the year rather than just for colder months.

The quality of this pair is lovely. I do like Falke for this, because their quality tends to be spot on. I didn’t get any snags or rips during my wear, which is always a bonus.

I have to say here that these are a size up from what I normally wear in Falke, so that means I had extra materials to give me solid coverage on the legs. If these were a size smaller, I feel these would be a little less opaque. So do check the sizing before you purchase and keep in mind you can go a size up if need be.

The feel of the are very soft, and super comfortable to be in. I spent the whole day in comfort than having to worry about itchy leg etc. I really enjoyed being in them.

The Toes & Ankle: these come with reinforced toes (not like you would ever know), but still be careful with long / sharp nails.

Around the toes, I had plenty of wiggle room, and no pressure added during the day either. The feet and ankles have a lovely smooth finish, with no wrinkles.

The Bands: so you saw that little bit of thread on the inner leg – well that was a little annoying considering it seemed unfinished. I thought I pulled it myself, but I was ultra careful and this did look unfinished.

What I do like is this quadruple strip band with a honeycomb mesh in-between it all. You have the silicone strips located at the top of the welt, and the rest is all aesthetics. I do like that these have stretch to them, so your thighs are not being squeezed whilst you’re in them.

I will add that I spent the whole day in these, and I can say that these did not scar me at the end of the day. The silicon was much better on the skin, not leaving me with markings that turn into scars that take forever to disappear.

My Thoughts?

I love this pair, and think they are great to being this time of year. They aren’t too dark which I like, and the quality is so good. I totally recommend them!
