Emmas Wardrobe Black Fishnet Tights

Fishnet Friyay baby! God it’s been ages since I’ve done Fishnet Fridays, and I am so glad to be back doing it. This is a new brand I got gifted from my Amazon Wishlist, and of course I am excited to review them!

I fancied doing nets to work today, so I dressed them as formally as I could to show you how you can pull them off in the office!

The Packaging

Getting Them On: before I get started, yep it’s no nail varnish again. I didn’t have time to do my nails this week!

I di my scrunch and roll, rolling up slowly around the feet and ankles before I set them in place on the legs. These had plenty of stretch to them, so even if you did tug them up, they will shimmy down in place again.

On The Legs: I have to say I like the quality of this pair. I managed to nearly get it caught, which could have made me cry with a gaping hole at the side. However, it was minor and literally you can’t tell anything happened. These are a great thick denier, which means they’re durable and can last a few wears as long as care is taken.

I like that the net is more of a circular/honeycomb design that a diamond net. This helps when you want to style them for work; they look a little more appropriate rather than a bigger diamond net (or fence/whale net some like to call it).

I liked the fit of these – they had plenty of stretch to them, which means it can fit quite a few sizes. I will say the more they stretch out, the bigger the net will be. Just something to be mindful of.

The feel of them are a little rough and grainy, but nothing that irritates the skin a lot. It didn’t help wearing a bodycon dress that doesn’t have a smooth lining underneath; it did tug against the tights which meant the tights move with the dress.

The Toes & Ankle: these have a good reinforcement to them, and one that blends into the fishnet very nicely. I was able to pair these well with my sandals without having to worry about it looking off.

I had plenty of wiggle room for my toes to breathe, and no pressure was added either.

Around the feet and ankles, it was a smooth finish with no wrinkling or it looking baggy after being stretched out.

The Waistband & Gusset: I took so long getting images of everything else, and was in a rush to get changed to go back out – I totally forgot to do my waistband shoot!

Basically these have a thin waistband, which a lot of elasticity to them. As these are a one size pair, I felt they didn’t hug my waist well; they seemed quite loose but luckily my dress kept them in place during the day. I think because they are catering for all sizes, they didn’t want a smaller waistband in case a larger tummied person felt it was too tight for them.

These don’t come with a cotton gusset; they are seamless so I would advise underwear to be worn with these. You can always check out the packaging video near to the end to see the waistband and seamless section.

My Thoughts?

Not a bad pair at all. I loved everything about it apart from the waistband – that did let me down. The quality of them was really good, and I can see this pair lasting me a while for sure. I would recommend for sure, and I hope you have better luck with the band that I did.
